Y'all gotta stop with the stupidity of saying passing on Donovan Mitchell is a nail in the coffin. The only way the front office gives a shyt is if the owner had him as the guy and Stan over ruled him. No one knew D.Mitch would be this good. Stop the bullshyt.

its literally his job to know these things, and they drafted fukking Luke Kennard

it was one pick before Kennard and its where many had him mocked

if he took Mitchell he still has a job - how was it not a final nail?

plenty of people had Mitchell rated highly btw

This team is a dumpster fire. No 1st round draft pick and 75% of the cap going to Drummond, Griffin, and Jackson the last two of which are injury prone and can't stay healthy long enough to matter. There isn't a true starting caliber shooting guard either. It'll take years to fix this. There's no light at the end of the tunnel right now.

Thay should have kept Stan. Nobody else is gonna want this mess.

Pretty much, we're close to Brooklyn Nets status when they had Billy King

Yea, so why wasn't he picked in the top 3? :francis:

Not one word about Mitchell being RoY was passed around until February after Gobert came back. Let's stop acting like he was an obvious lock. Being rated highly isn't the same as being a legit consensus pick.

Not taking Mitchell isn't a nail in the coffin because no sane Front Office is going to judge him on that pick. GMs have been kept around longer for worse misses (David Khan). The ONLY way they fire you for that is if the owner or other high executive staff wanted Mitchell and you say no, take Kennard. Otherwise everyone with a brain knows the draft is a crapshoot, especially as you get further away from the top picks.
