Webber would've been better as a studio guy.

Jim Jackson is really good as an on game analyst. Hopefully he gets a bump.

Ian Eagle/SVG was their best duo when they worked together a year ago. Eagle really makes any color commentator step up their A game, as the article pointed out even Grant Hill was dope next to him and he usually sounds stiff and boring.

Workplace politics and powerplays :francis:

Even then, you would think that they would have already had it figured out now since they knew at least for a year now that Marv Albert was leaving. They seem to be following the ESPN blueprint of not replacing lead talent and instead doing it via rotating chairs and talents.

Not sure if it's a saving money thing or they just want to see how things play out for the time being.
I think it’s so they can’t give any single person power in negotiations.

The problem with TNT color commentators is they can't seem to find a versatile guys. Most of them are either good at talking about the game but kind of a dull personality (Grant Hill, Steve Smith) or the guys with too much personality don't know how to tone it down like Reggie Miller and Chris Webber. Jeff Van Gundy is a good mix of both even though he gets to sidetracked at times ranting. Not sure why they feel it has to be a former player in that color spot.
