Running off one of the most dominate centers to play the game seems like a travesty as well. Neither one of them was willing to compromise anymore. Should've went down as the greatest duo in sports.

he didn't run off Shaq. Shaq was threatened by Kobe's growing standing in the game which led to them clashing.

It took Shaq being traded down to Miami for him to focus the way Kobe was always asking of him. They both to blame if you ask me :manny:

As a Kobe fan 2 things make me always wonder what if:
1) Colorado --- kobe was coming his most dominant season ever and Colorado prevented him from working on his game and statistically that season was a step back.
2)Those three years, If kobe had 1 bonafide all star on the team, they compete for a championship all these 3 years.

Think about it, Lakers made the finals 3 str8 times with Kobe one foot out of his prime and not one player on those Lakers teams was better than Dwayne Wade or Chris Bosh. :jawalrus:

are you sure you saw Jordan play as much as you think, or were just a victim of how dope the Space Jams were. :comeon:

If you told me one player was 260 lbs but as fast, taller, longer, with close to the same level of explosion, and could effectively guard 4 positions effectively, is a great passer, and could score about 28 a game shooting 56 percent while getting 8 rebounds and 8 assist a game, I will tell you want I that player over every other one I have seen.

I saw Jordan's prime, and Jordan was amazing but Lebron is looking like a better player than jordan right now.

Jordan is a better scorer, better jump shooter, better in the post, and has better handles but that is pretty much it.

I'll put it like this, he may not be there now, but it aint because of talent or productivity. Its about accomplishments now.

Jordan averaged a LEGIT 32.5, 8 and 8 one season while shooting 54% from the field...PLUS he gave you 3 steals and almost 1 block per game. LeBron is averaging 27, 8 and 7 while shooting 56%. And while I give LeBron props for the season he's having, but he's not having the greatest season in history like it's being hyped up to be. LeBron also got the luxury while playing in a league with no hand checking.

Mike couldn't guard Magic in 91, Phil had to put Scottie on him. There are plenty of players today that are roughly the size of Magic that are playing the 3.

Yeah PF/Cs are trash today, but It's a two way street , the wing play from 91-98 wasn't nearly as good as it is today.

And lebron couldn't guard Jason terry in 2011. Everyone has their bad series defensively.

And trust me i always talk about Jordan's relatively weak Competetion at the wing during his prime/Peak. Specifically at the 2guard. I mean jon Starks? Really?

Breh, what the hell are you talking about? wing play then nor PF/C in today's NBA is trash AF. 90's had a surplus of great centers. We may never see that again. Centers come out of school too soon in today's college game and they don't develop like that should if the talent is there.

Lebron could possibly end up being just as good or better but he's not there yet. As good as Lebron is, I can't help but wonder what a prime Mike would do to this league. It's scary.

Zone defenses, advanced defensive schemes, defenders actually equipped to defend MJ level athletes? He's gonna :eat: in an idiots mind. Give me handchecking over that any day of the week over the NBA now.

So we gonna act like the Lakers just blew the Bulls out in game one? That game came down to a Sam Perkins 3 which gave LA the narrow victory. It's not like Scottie shut Magic down either. Plus, Jordan had to guard Worthy!

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

The difference though is that MJ straight up couldn't defend Magic because of his size, where as Terry got hot.

I think MJ was a better man to man defender, and LeBron is the better team defender because of his versatility and the fact getting him in a switch with a PF doesn't hurt the defense as much.

:why:

:upsetfavre:

Fact - Perimeter play is better today
Fact - Frontcourt play was better in the 90s by a huge margin.

I'm so tired of the media pushing this Jordan vs Lebron talk.

:takedat:

His team finished 5th and he was taking 22 shots per game. His usage rate was 32.1 which will be 5th highest for Lebron's career.

Quoting what you quoting is benevolent posting.

I can't put him over Mike yet. Maybe in due time but he has to get a couple more titles and then the argument can get real. He can guard more positions on the floor, but Mike still could guard the 1 2 and 3 and Jordan was lockdown in his earlier days so i can't call him a better defender but i will say he's more versatile. Jordan is a better mid range shooter but Lebron probably has him on the three ball. Their ballhandling is about even and Lebron is a better passer but Mike wasn't a slouch on that end either. But when it's all said and done i think Bron will have a legitimate claim to being the best ever.

This is about LeBron and MJ, why is the red headed step child Mr. Bean Bryant being mentioned among the two greatest wing players breathing? :troll:

nikkas throwing Kobe's name in here like some bum rapper trying to hand you his mixtape.

:whoa:

ay yung, chill out with the Kobe shade. Its not warranted, and Kobe is relevant in this convo because he got the same shyt Lebron is getting now.

These players should stand on their own, not have to keep being compared to Jordan.
