He is just as good at defending 1-3 while being superior at defending 4-5. That's not because I said so, that's because it's a fact from tape, stats, and advanced metrics.

:stopitslime: You really think Brook Lopez is trash offensively? You think Dirk is trash offensively? You think Kevin Love is trash offensively. Al Jefferson, Griffin, Horford, LMA, KG, Duncan, etc. I am not sure if you are trolling or just stupid AF. You are severally underrating the rule changes on bigs in today's NBA and overrating guys in the previous generation as if you seen them on a night to night basis like in the 60's.

No one can lockdown Dirk just like MJ couldn't lock down Magic or Bird. Why are you asking stupid AF questions?

.

KG/Duncan/dirk are all past their prime and lebron never guarded those nikkaz anyway. Specifically Dirk in the finals. Blake is trash in the post and can't shoot. Lebron rarely if ever guards the rest like brook except in small stretches.

I dont see why i should be impressed of being able to guard positions 4/5 if the only ones you lock down are trash or mediocre offensively. And its not even for the entire game. You want me to do cartwheels for Lebron checking Serge ibaka and Kendrick perkins :deadrose:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
:whoa:

ay yung, chill out with the Kobe shade. Its not warranted, and Kobe is relevant in this convo because he got the same shyt Lebron is getting now.

These players should stand on their own, not have to keep being compared to Jordan.

:troll:

Eh, in Kobe's case it's difficult for him to stand on his own because a lot of his game clearly has been patterned on Jordan, down to movements.

Besides, his fans are very easy to make mad :smugbiden:

The difference though is that MJ straight up couldn't defend Magic because of his size, where as Terry got hot.

I think MJ was a better man to man defender, and LeBron is the better team defender because of his versatility and the fact getting him in a switch with a PF doesn't hurt the defense as much.

:upsetfavre:

Fact - Perimeter play is better today
Fact - Frontcourt play was better in the 90s by a huge margin.

Perimeter players pool of players is much better in general today than in the 90's but the greats would be great in either era.

I disagree about the frontcourt statement. Center is weaker without a question but PF is a much stronger position today than in the 90's. Look at this Dirk interview:

People write all the time about how your emergence as a jump-shooting big man — and your team’s success — literally changed the NBA. Do you ever think about your career in terms like that?

I don't really think that way. Honestly, when I first got in the league, it was a lot of back-to-the-basket pounding. Charles [Barkley] would back the ball in for 15 seconds. Over the years, the game has changed, with me spreading the floor, and now almost every team has to have a spread [power forward]. Almost no one plays with two bigs anymore. And obviously they changed the rules — they put in the five-second back-down rule, and you can play zone. The game changed. There's more movement and teams playing together instead of just one-on-one pounding. There is still some of that, but the game has become European again. More five guys, more movement.

Blake can flat out score. I watched all the guys in the 80's, 90's and 2000's. The only PF who can just flat out score better was Amare. Blake is the PF version of VC. You have to double team him or he's going off for 30.

That's a stupid AF statement and one that proves to me you don't know what you are talking about.

Lebron doesn't need to guard Ibaka, he's not a difference maker offensively or close.

Sounds alot like the Moss/Rice debate when it comes to the reasons why people are saying Bron is better, even though the athletic gap between MJ/Bron isn't as big as Moss/Rice

His team finished 5th and he was taking 22 shots per game. His usage rate was 32.1 which will be 5th highest for Lebron's career.

Quoting what you quoting is benevolent posting.

Irrelevant because they got to the EFC that year.

why do yall continue with this "Bron can guard all positions on the court" like it actually matters?... where was Bron against Roy Hibbert, they damn near lost the series cause dude was such a presence down there...what about the 2011 NBA Finals..why wasnt the best defender in the league that can guard 1-5 not shutting down Dirk and Jason Terry from ripping that ass?...

just another one of those things that is cool to say and looks good on resume's, but when it comes down to it, he not guarding a elite big men...sure he can put a body on unskilled big men that probably dont belong in the game anyways, but thats where that stops

I didnt see Bron guarding Dwight once on Sunday

Fact - Perimeter play is better today

Eh, i'll agree to an extent.

The question i'll propose to you is how much has the shift in rules allowing perimeter players more freedom to operate from 15ft and out.

How good would some of these players be 10-15 years ago when the rules were different and you were allowed more contact on the outside
