i made a thread bout this album months back bout how it might be the best hip hop album of the 2000s

but i had to make another thread for it again because i feel like this the 1 kast album that a lot of hip hop heads didn't really fukk with as much as their previous albums. the casual hip hop fans latched onto this album and this is where kast became mainstream names in music and the world

i might be the only 1 who thinks this but i really think this album can stand to toe with their 1st 3
it's crazy to think this is their 4 album after releasin' 3 other classics; it's like how could this be just as strong?!
to me, this album is like the exclamation point on their incredible run as a duo
although speakerboxxx and lovebelow was their last album, those 2 discs were clearly solo albums
like i said before, stankonia is just a listenin' experience and light years ahead of time
i'm still not sure most have even really gotten just how brilliant this album is

My favorite album. I don't get how nikkas can say is wack or meh. It's like 2 or 3 tracks i can see nikkas not liking but everything else is so fukking next level.



The craziest shyt is these nikkas was only 25 shyt crazy and at the same time.

dre and big were on the same page lyrically,,big didnt get outshined on every track..stankonia is when big came out of his shell..n was breakin mics..

i can keep things cordial and still debate at the same time. when you see me do otherwise, its because the other party set it off first, which is purely self-defense from my standpoint.

you said they were "them nikkas back then". but they clearly weren't. they may have been YOUR nikkas, but they weren't "them nikkas".

niccas weren't running around bumpin stankonia. not none of the thurl dudes at least. they weren't a hot topic that was heavily talked about. people didnt sit around the block or the cafeteria or the court or wherever talking about no outkast cannon. they were barely talked about at all. niccas weren't checkin for this album breh. matter fact, laface didn't even market it towards hip-hop crowds. they marketed it like it was a TLC album or something.

even with the 1st 2 albums when outkast was at their peak, heads wasn't on them like THAT. yall don't even be gassing up the right albums. their 1st album was the classic, the 2nd one was nice too. and even back then, they were far from THEM NIKKAS. they never stopped time.
