I usually hate remakes but I'm not tripping over remake of a game that's almost 30 years old.

I also say this as someone who hasn't played the original in decades

I play the original no less than two years apart (usually around Christmas) and I can see myself copping this, but then again I'm a HUGE Starfox 64 fan and I kinda liked the Dinosaur Adventure one to a bit even though it could have been better.
Replaying Starfox 64 on the switch 2 is like me re-reading my fave book (Count of MonteCristo/Stars is my destination) again and enjoying it despite knowing what's to come.
This might push me to actually buy a Switch 2 along with Kirby Air Riders...but that's AFTER I cop the Retro Handheld Odin 3 from Ayn.​

fukk this and Miyamoto. Remaking the same damn game but F-Zero has sat for decades.

let's be honest without Illumination and Sony Pictures wouldn't nothing be getting revisited. just gotta give them time.. they'll get around to FZero after Pikmin most likely

I do like the Star Wars-like wipe transitions and music during the cutscenes. And the cinematics seem like they were inspired by their collab with Ubisoft. The extra game modes are cool since the original game takes about 2 hours to 100%. The new models and some areas look bad tho. But hopefully this game meets Nintendo’s expectations sales-wise so the series can move forward. They’re already saying a movie is on the way, so that's good.

Star Fox is a shmup. Shmups are outdated and aren't very popular in 2026. They were cool in the 80s and 90s. This is the type of game you play for 10 minutes then drop it.

There is no lack of new Mario and Zelda games breh.

Hopefully this Star Fox game resonates with the crowd that didnt grow up playing these so they can make a real new one. My youngest son is very excited after watching the Direct. They really need one that plays faster and gives the ships more transformations that change the abilities in flight.
