Star has to play the Stephen A Smith role. That's what Joe was, not some wise retired player with perspective. nikka didn't know shyt about most of the rappers he talked about and for the most part outright dismissed them as fukkity fukk nikkas. If he wasn't doing that he just attributed everything to the labels fukking up. That was it. ES wouldn't be shyt if Joe just cooled out like Star is currently doing. The podcast and ES works because of Joe acting an ass. That nikka stayed calling out artist to come up to the show, calling albums/artist trash, and making "The unmitigated gall!" and "That's just blasphemous!" faces at shyt Akademiks(Skip) would say.
If the plan is for this show to be the Akademiks Show w/ Troi Torain its not going to work because in order for a bleh personality like Akademiks to lead the show, Star has to keep his shyt on level 0.5 because he's such a great on air personality that he would just destroy Akademiks like he did in the first episode.
Just tried to watch today’s episode.

Yeah Ak has been acting way more arrogant and acting like it’s his show. He almost tries to talk down on Star and tries to big bro him like Joe use to do.
These last 2 episodes really frustrated me because Star was giving Ak and Nedeska his verteran opinion about the Grammys and why certain artist won and lost. And those 2 just REFUSED to understand where he was coming from. They thought he was on his
