Well for one the quality of actors and the acting in general. Plus all of the navi were black people so I'm biased. And the villain in the movie was .

I think we should be askng, was avatar good enough of a movie to warrent muiltiple views.....outside of cgi, no. With star wars you have multiple generations seeing it again and again. In a group of friends there is one person waiting a week or two or three to see it, but still a fan, and in the same group 1 or 2 willing to resee it with them......it just is what it is breh

What does "outside of CGI"? Mean. People saw avatar multiple times because despite the generic story it was an experience no other film can do. Fully immerse you in an alien planet. The technical prowess of the film is unmatched and is the shining example that 3D can be an incredibly enhancing experience. I saw avatar like 3 times in theaters and I know a lot of people who did the same.

Yeah sam worthington being a boring piece of granite and being the equivalent of watching paint dry refutes that statement off the top breh. And yeah it's cool Cameron put brothers and sisters in the movie but the shyt was still a mess. Shyt i wouldn't care if he put my whole family and extended family plus my friends in it, He used thinly drawn archetypes, gave them on the nose dialogue, and something that outside of the tech, was boring to me. The greatest thing about it and the one thing I'll agree with you on is the game changing from a tech standpoint and he deserves all the props in the world for that. But outside of that theatrical experience, I see nothing else of value in the flick

I say it's trash but I also said I'm not going to be mad at people for spending money on what they spent their money on. Benefits of it being a free country. If people fukked with it then they fukked with it. But i think the issue is you're comparing it to Star Wars and most cats here are saying Star Wars is the better flick. Shyt I know I am.

We may never be satisfied which film gains the title. Star Wars is just so popular amongst so many it was obvious it was gonna do that kind of damage, just maybe not in that short of time. Avatar and Titanic were number 1 multiple weekends, for months it seemed. shyt was crazy. Cameron still the gawd having the two top movies. Who else will do that? And don't sleep, we've already discussed this but Avi 2 could crush the buildings. We will see.

Just because cats liked it there doesn't mean everyone liked it man. I didn't like it the second I left the theater so I'm not on some Johnny come lately shyt. I can't speak for anyone else
