Rewatched Rogue One. I understand folks saying having watched the movies elevates pieces of Andor, but goddam if you watched the show and then Rogue with no knowledge that ending gotta really hit like a ton of bricks :mjcry:
I want to introduce a friend to this and have been debating whether I should do Andor then Rogue One. Or Rogue One then Andor. What would give maximum impact.

I think things like the final scene of Andor probably hit harder knowing what happens in Rogue One.

I don't think you can go wrong either way, but it is easier to invest just the two hours and see if Rogue One is something you're interested then. If so you'll undeniably love the show. S1 of Andor is a tad of a slow start where I could see someone thinking it's not for them after the first episode if they're not at all familiar with SW

But the other way around, the final act of Rogue One would hit MUCH harder because your friend will be heavily invested in Cassian and realizing he's on a suicide missions and he dies on a beach without seen Bix again and not even know he had a child will be :mjcry: in ways it wouldn't be if he/she saw RO first.

And not just in México, I was lIke 10 or 11 and was collecting a Star Wars album with my grandma and I saw that one of the captions read "C-3PO & R2-D2" and I was like :what: the fukk is that.

Then I got the sticker for that caption and it was Citripio y Arturito and I was like ":mindblown: that makes no damn sense, that's not how you write Arturito".

It wasn't until I was like 14-15 and truly started to learn to read in English that I realized what those letters meant/were pronounced and why we called those character by those names :russ:

From Andor → Rouge One → Original Trilogy flows so well. Unlike the prequels, it actually works well if you watch Andor. But like the other breh said New hope gets you invested to watch Rouge One more. While Rouge One gets you invested in watching Andor. Then again, the payoff in Rouge One is amplified if you watched Andor first. I honestly don't think there is a right or wrong answer here.

Love how both Andor and Rouge One feel like true prequels, unlike the prequels since it spoils you on the big twist. Altho at this point I'd be surprised if someone didn't know that Darth Vader was Luke's father. Maybe the younger generation who grew up with the sequel trilogy as their first experience with Star Wars.

Told the wife to watch Andor first and promises she will cry at the end of Rogue One

I need more non jedi starwars action after this.

Hopefully Star Wars Starfighter is good. but i don't trust anything post ROJ at this point.
Mando being the exception
they need to bring Rogue squadron back into development for a series
Since they messed up Finn’s arc the Stormtrooper trying to atone for his actions is still ripe for storytelling

Imagine some 10 year old jit having watched the prequels then the OG trilogy when the Vader reveal happens :laff:

Probably sitting there like :unimpressed:

Something hit for the first time today about how childish one aspect of Return of the Jedi is. I never questioned it before, but how silly is it that Palpatine had them build the 2nd Death Star with a THRONE ROOM in it? So, what....so he could sit in his swivel chair and ride around from planet to planet like he's on a version of Air Force One armed with TSAR BOMBAS ?? So he gets to look out his window and do an evil laugh while they ride around and nuke planets?

It would be like Trump flying around the world on a special "MCU" Universe Helicarrier complete with an observation deck with a giant La-Z-Boy recliner. With doomsday devices.

*Pacs Voice* cause Thats what villains do!!!

:pacspit:

This what a great series and i already loved Rogue one cause it added the real war aspect in star wars. The force is cool and all that but u cant control a galaxy by just force choking and cutting people. I also like how they show how hard it is to rebel. People beating down and broken mentally and physically with even the leaders getting frustrated and not some super positive hopeful cheers and singing all day
