Finally did my first rewatch of Rouge One in years. Rouge One really shows the sacrifice of the Rebellion though it is so remarkable how Andor adds to along with why they are fighting the rebellion.
In Cassian's conversations in Rouge One know you can see the bridge of Luthen → Cassian → Jyn. Cassian's first line of Rebellion is built on hope is one quote that you can feel that example. As for one, he experienced first hand how evil the Empire is. The Prison scenes and the Genocide on Ghorman do just that.
Also, the time comes when Cassian backs up is well in his character. What he did here is precisely what he did when he went to rescue Kleya. Honestly, Cassian carries a much bigger presence if you watched Andor first. He line of we all have done terrible things for the rebellion is another one that has even more impact now. Honestly, with so much character development, he overshadows Jyn. Still, Jyn's character arc in this story is very good, and it draws in parallel to Cassian's arc in S1. Granted given at a much faster pace.
God damn the ending hurts more then it did in theaters

. Cassian mentioning to Jyn she is not the only one that lost everything.
Rewatching Rouge one, and it is interesting to see that Chirrut being introduced in the movie happened in the same year as the episode Kanan Jarrus was blinded by Maul.
