lol i definitely did not bother to stay to post credits on this one. Thx
the rest apparently happens in the cartoons where dude faces Obi won, this time for the final time.

Solo underperformed, and Disney killed all the standalone movie

Thats dope that Maul was a Crime boss like Jabba the Hut. Makes sense he would need to be in the shadows before Palps found him again. I gotta reread up on him. The night sisters stuff is dope lore too
Fan fiction. Darth Maul died in phantom menace. Anything saying he still alive is non canon imo. Same with sidious.
Wish they would stop retconning these deaths. Only makes the films the preceded them seem pointless in retrospect
What i love about Andor and Rogue One is they actually enhance the movies, they don't just steal from them and contradict major plot points.

But the big difference between Maul and Sidous retcon is that for Maul it actually served a purpose. Maul had gone from the cool mysterious villain in Episode 1 to a well-written compelling villain. Also, Maul had no mention in canon beyond episode 1 in terms of films. So there were no contradictions. With being said, it would be a huge issue if they retconned his death in Rebels since it served as a great end to his character arc.

I don't think much needs to be said about how awful the retcon of Sidious was in comparison.

Which is my point. He was only meant to be badass and look cool for the movie. Well, him killing Qui-Gon was his only real purpose as it was at that moment Anakin's fate to become Darth Vader began. Him coming back didn't screw with that. Hell, his final conversation in Rebels really emphasized the importance of Obi-Wan protecting and watching over Luke. Which did more than anything the Obi-Wan show did.

Actually, it's funny Boba Fett's death was retcon as well in much the same way. He also was the badass mysterious character of the OT alongside Vader. Except he didn't serve much purpose outside Mando S2, maybe. (Might be a stretch saying that tbh.)
