Question... I'm on episode 7. Did they yada yada how the Rebels there got some x-wing fighter jets now? How? and who developed them?

Yes. I mean, it's implied where they got the money and resources -for example, the rhydo that Saw and Wilmon steal is fuel for ships- but I have no clue when or who built the X-Wings in the first place. Not sure Andor was the place to make it a thing, but yeah, we are just supposed to go along with the fact that between 3BBY and 2BBY, enough people have joined the cause to the point it's starting to amass a small military unit, ships included.

This shyt here was Brehs this might be the best 'Star Wars' will ever get..... episodes 8 & 9 were that great.

Episode 8 schooling folks about the Empire's propaganda... the final 20 or so minutes with the massacre and Dedra and ol' boy going through it

Episode 9 we get Mon at the Senate and we begin to see how the Empire is slowly losing steam, too many leaks for the propaganda machine and attempted censorship in plain sight..

So fukking good.

Aight cool... I ain't a huge 'Star Wars' historian by any means but this show has rekindled my love for it all. I really like 'The Mandalorian' because it reminds me of a grittier version of the Lucas films but 'Andor' just takes it up another notch, it's basically comics/graphic novels come to life in the best possible way We're watching an epic spy/espionage series within that universe which is crazy. Acting, costumes, production design, everything is on point

She said Gilroy only got the chance to make this show because Kathleen loves him. She said Dave Filoni dont like anyone straying far from the regular Star Wars shyt lol.

I've also read/heard that Filoni dislikes it, in a "this is not Star Wars" type of way. And that's always puzzled me because this shyt is as Star Wars as it gets, imo.

I'd hope this would push people at Lucas Film to try to do better in terms of writing. Filoni does get shyt right and can write compelling shyt as well but he's still very much in a "cartoon in live action feel" mode most of the time and that has a ceiling that a show like Andor shatters with its writing and direction.

And then you look at shyt like The Acolyte or Book of Bobba, which are a fukking mess in terms of story and writing and wonder what the fukk is wrong with people at Lucas Film.

Seems doubtful, she said from the people that she knows who have pitched shows/movies to LF/Disney, Filoni was his brand of Star Wars. So he stopping everything that doesnt fit the mold he wants. She said the only reason Andor got made is because Gilroy sorta bypassed the "Filoni Wall" and went to Kathleen and she pushed it through. So it seems like shyt could get a lot worse with her leaving soon, unless that report on her leaving was fake.

Seems like they a bunch of hardcore nerd fans and trying to stick to the version of SW they imagine with the bright/light shyt. Filoni probably filled the building with people who follow his version. Probably like a lil gatekeeping cultlike situation.

fukk anyone at LucasFilms who green lit a sequel trilogy without a clear path to episode 9 and then brought in J.J. to do basically 'A New Hope' remake with little substance and then brought in Rian Johnson to take the shyt all the way to left field and then brought J.J BACK to throw together the worst pile of yada yada bullshyt in the history of filmmaking....

They don't know anything.

That doesn't really make sense though. Filoni has done a bunch of stuff that goes away from a dark/light simplistic view of the Force. Also shows like The Acolyte, Book of Bobba or Bad Batch had nothing to do with him either and at the least the first two were a fukking mess.

We also know Kennedy meddled with every film of the sequel trilogy (with TLJ being the one she supposedly stayed away the most from) and has done so with a ton of projects that ended up getting canceled as well.

The "Filoni Wall" seems like a narrative being fed that doesn't have a lot of support in reality. And even though Andor does seem to be something that Kennedy was a champion for -mainly because Gilroy has said so-, this stuff you are telling about the podcaster sounds like typical political bs trying to pass off as "sources say".

Agreed, that movie was a disgrace

I've always understood why people hate The Last Jedi but I appreciate the swings the movie went for when it came to lore and the Force, which was something TFA and ROS lacked (some idea of a vision).

The only good thing about Rise of Skywalker was Babu Frik being high a kite telling the gang to let him work and solve shyt
