Shows good on paper (not really) but under delivered.

I grew up playing Star Wars games action figures toys and movies I was 10 when episode 1 released and was hooked on it ever since 3.

The only good show Disney has released has been the book of boba fett. And that ain’t saying much. Ashoka a close second but the characters are so weird.

The problem with the shows and Disney in general is there trying to do to much on a limited budget.

I rather see a 4 episodes of pure Star Wars action than a series full of mediocre mellow dramas. The fact that the general audience eat this up cause they likely have nothing better to do and because it’s Star Wars indicates the shovel wear will continue.

I remember reading an article a few months back on a show gerorge Lucas wanted to make and the cost was in the billions. People don’t realize they’re being taken with these stupid shows.

Star Wars is dead and the audience killed it out of there own desperation.

Turn the tv off, turn the tv off.

Andor is A1. I’m someone that thought Star Wars was always kinda corny and fans tend to overrate the franchise but this was great. Rogue One was my favorite flick among the new batch and I’m looking forward to watching it again with all this added context.

I was lukewarm on The Batman when it came out originally and then I watched it again after watching The Penguin and it made things so much better in my opinion. Curious to see if this will be a similar situation.

Kleya… stop muggin’ and let me love you.

In terms of writing, there was a fall off after Empire Strikes back imo. You saw the start of it a bit in Return of the Jedi though with how great that final act was I am not surprised people forgot about it. You did have the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games along with the first two KOTOR games which delivered. But beyond average writing with some high points was the norm.

Andor was a showcase of how you create great Star Wars content that is also well written. Though it should be noted out that not everything needs to be like Andor. Skelton Crew, Mando and the animated series were all at least pretty solid. Though I do hope the Mando movie is closer to S1 & S2 and not like Ahsoka S1 or Mando S3.

I'm probably reiterating something I said earlier but sometimes I can't remember if I said something here or it was a discussion I had with friends. The best prequels are going to flesh out the story, expand the lore, add something to the original work to ENHANCE that on rewatch and I think they did this twice...

Gilroy is a magician. 'Andor' certainly enhances 'Rogue One' now, which was already a good movie.. but I think the entire I'd call it "Rebellion" collection of 'Andor' and 'Rogue One' now actually enhances the original 'Star Wars' as well.

That's why I'd go 'Andor' both seasons and then 'Rogue One' to get into 'Star Wars' on next rewatch and since both are fresh in my mind now I'm going to likely watch the original trilogy again very soon. :obama:

I started running The OG trilogy of the strength of this series , and it enhanced it greatly , haven't watched return of the Jedi in years and I enjoyed it, deep thinking about it was the first movie I seen in a Movie theater. So the Ewoks don't bother me at all.
