They said the old writer wanted Episode 7 to be about the new generation. Abrams wanted Episode 7 to be about the old cast while introducing the new guys

Probably not. At the end of the day here is NO Star Wars without George Lucas. He created it and made literally BILLIONS of dollars from it. Star Wars will forever remain synonymous with his name. No matter who directs it, produces it, or releases it. The first name you see before those credits role is LUCASARTS.
Plus he'll always remain a legend for having the foresight to keep the merchandising rights. That was genius level anticipation

Also it's clear if you watch this teaser Lucas blueprint is EVERYWHERE literally. JJ didn't reinvent the wheel. People are mad at George for the Special Editions and the Prequels but at the end of the day he had to bring it together so he gets that respect. He didn't do it alone but he brought it together. One of my biggest concerns was if JJ was going to capture "THE FEEL". George has a unique way of doing Star wars movies. They don't feel like other blockbusters. But that teaser reminded me why I felt JJ was best for the Job. He really did capture of the essence of what George did. Now can the movie deliver is the real question.

Rumors are that he's a force sensitive guy thrown into a situation that made him a Storm -Trooper. He's on the run from them and meets up with Daisy. Most of his "running scared" scenes are from the beginning.
