Honestly, all of these streaming services should stop greenlighting these type of expensive projects. There’s no way in this current climate will you be able to break even or make a profit as long as you’re releasing films on streaming where you have no true way of knowing how much these films are bringing in.

As I will say once again, Disney had the right blueprint in charging separate for certain releases and it’s only a matter of time before someone tries it again.

Maybe Netflix can buy HBO , or vice versa. HBO has content on lock but their tech sucks. One of the worst apps out there. Netflix has been a leader on streaming, scalability, and reliability on the tech side but they fell off the moment they lost licensing and had to develop their own content consistently

It’s essentially what will have to happen at this point as all of these movies are losing money instead of making it. If you already got a subscription, then they aren’t making any money from the film ammd doesn’t seem like these films are helping with subscriber growth as long as you can cancel right after.
