Everything in this post is wrong. Jesus
First, your body turns a percentage of muscle into energy regardless of how much fat you have. You think you are burning 100% fat and nothing else when you workout? You wish. Your body is metabolizing fat and muscle, you cannot force your body to only burn fat, this is part of the reason why spot-reduction does not work. You cannot say "body, i'm doing X, please use Y fat for my energy"
Second, your body will prioritize
SAVING your fat stores when it thinks that you are starving and burn muscle instead. This is proven, do your own research.
Third, breh.. honestly you just have 0 idea how the body uses energy.
Fourth, What does sleeping have to do with not consuming food for 14 days?
Listen if you want to "lose weight" by starving yourself for 14 days, go right ahead, you a grown ass man do whatever you want to your body.
But if you think for one second that this is an effective way to lose fat, you do not understand the basics of how your body burns energy. You are literally making it more difficult for your body to burn fat in the future
But by all means, this is TheColi where everyone is an expert on everything, so ignore basic biology and have at it breh
Sorry my friend as the someone stated your wrong on a lot things here, quiet day today so I have time for you lol
Ive fasted for many years, read various studies from Dr Jason Fung, Jeff Volek, Eric Berg. To do with Fasting and Ketosis. By no means am I an expert, but I know a fair amount due to my own research and interest.
Good resource -
Fasting and Muscle Mass
Still waiting for that report or study that shows that shows "not eating is one of the worst ways possible to lose weight"
One of the wildest things I have heard today, I must say - where exactly is your body getting that surplus that is preventing you from not losing weight if your not eating ?
1
No one has said your burn 100% fat, so where getting that from ? When your fully in Ketosis, which the OP will be in, yes you use a small amount of muscle very small almost insignificant amounts will be taken from your muscles daily for the small requirement of glucose your brain does need along with ketosis. But again no 1 has said what you are referring too.

Your body burns fat first, just think from a basic standpoint, most humans have more fat on them, Why on earth would it bypass that to burn lean muscle ? Even from a basic human survival standpoint, if you have no muscle left how you gonna hunter and gather food. So with your logic muscle is burnt away and then what that person they falls into a pile of fat and bones, how they gonna stand up or walk with no muscle ? Muscle and organs are the last things to be used, for obvious reasons, God isnt dumb enough to design us like that.
Fasting is muscle sparing for those exact reasons, its much easier for your body to access energy from fat stores than lean muscle.
When you don't eat anything it would be stupid for your body to use the lean muscle as fuel instead of the easily accessed stored fat, thousands upon thousands of stored energy. And with that, 1 pound of muscle has about less than half stored energy than 1 pound of fat does.
By all means show your research that shows that your body bypasses more readily available energy in your fat stores to go to your muscle for less energy. I don't even think this happens to cancer patients with cachexia, but don't quote me on that I could be wrong.

I didn't get what you were trying to convey in your quote, as it summed up what I said about starvation mode. To get to starvation mode your body will have to go through a lot before that happens. its literally one of the last things your body goes into to keep you alive, so much so your msucle and organs will start to fail as a last resort to get energy, not after some fasting.
Could start getting into adaptive thermogenesis and allsorts, but no need. OP is fasting that's all.
Have look at the Minnesota Starvation Experiment and/or the paper derived from it - The Biology of Human Starvation for true studies/reports on it.

Because fasting is abstaining from food, with your logic your body think its "dying" during that period. Yes, im joking a bit lol, but just because your fasting doesn't mean your body thinks its dying.
Based on your last line you do not realise starving and fasting are 2 different things, the OP is not starving himself he is fasting.
Fasting is abstaining from food, while your body has access to nutrients to live. Starving is the complete opposite when your body has no access to nutrients to survive hence "starved to death" - term starvation mode used in media etc way to wrong.
Millions upon millions of people throughout human history have\do fast. Either for health, spiritual or religious reasons.
