Stop looking at it like that. The iPhone has been the most stable phone since it’s release. It’s applications have always been better than Androids. iMessage is truly a dealbreaker for people.

It’s not Apple “fanboys”, it’s people who want quality. People still have a bad taste in their mouth from Android’s early years. Coupled with the fact that the social media apps that people use are just way worse on Android. It’s really not hard to see why people choose iPhones.

All of what I said is why I switched to an iPhone in 2013 and never looked back.

Also, the Xr was the top selling iPhone last year. It started at 749. This year the 11 starts at 699. That’s fine to most people.

Edit: the iPhone 8 starts at 449. That has an A11 chip in it that’s faster than phones that are coming out today. You can get an iPhone 8 and have a smoother experience using it than any other phone at that price and get updates longer.

:beli: I've heard these exact excuses last time and the year before that...:mjlol: anything to justify those crazy ass price points... $400+ for a fukking phone...

Here’s the bottomline, cut and dry, simple truth about ALLLLL of this; and that is if Android users could’ve AFFORDED an iPhone back when it first came out many years ago, they’d be iPhone users today.

You say excuses, I say valid reasons.

What phone do you currently own?

Nothing about this really incentivizes me to upgrade from the XS I copped last year.

What apple is missing nowadays is that “magic” factor it had during the Jobs era. Adding more cameras and meaningless spec bumps don’t really do it for me like they used it.

There's absolutely no reason for you to upgrade. You have a XS. Hell there's no reason for you to upgrade in the next 2 to 3 years unless you break your phone.

We're at the maturation of smartphones. It's the same way with computers. You don't go out and buy a MacBook every year, so you don't need to upgrade your phone every year either. iOS 12 brought in a lot of optimization to the operating system. A person using an iPhone 7 wouldn't need to upgrade based on the speed of the phone.

The maturation of the market is also why Apple has been going up on price as well. People upgrade their phone less now that they're fast enough to last a few years, so to offset that potential revenue loss, they raise the price of the phone.

I don't make a lot of calls and I don't recieve a lot of calls so :manny:

I'll keep rockin with my 6s til I HAVE to do something with it...

I don't understand the need for constant upgrades. It doesn't make any sense for ME, but if y'all got it or like it, go for it.
Just weird that every year or every other year they want you to buy a totally new and expensive product that, honestly, isn't much different than the one you probably already have
