The title says it all. A hotly contested subject:

Stat-padding:
What is stat-padding?
Who are the most notorious stat-padders out there? Historically?
Is stat-padding ever ok?

If teams don't want someone to score, shouldn't they just not let them score?

IS LEBRON A STAT-PADDER? (I want my plat, brehs). :troll:

So let's fight over I mean discuss this issue once and for all.

Unless you

1. Create an objective statistical measure for “stat padding” and

2. apply it to all the GOATS careers evenly

it’s a meaningless hater narrative
Exactly.

There is no consensus on how to quantify it.
And even if you did, over the course of a career it wouldn't amount to anything anyway.

Stat padding is all about intentions and impact. If a player does everything in his power on offense and defense to help his team win regardless of the teams roster then that is not stat padding. If a player cherry picks on defense and only get his numbers on offense that has little impact on winning then that’s stat padding.

The playoffs need to hurry up. The coliseum is terrible right now when it comes to talking about the NBA
It won’t matter. Conversation will still be about 3 players who aren’t even gonna be in the playoffs.
MJ, Bron, and Kobe :francis:
