Never been in that situation but I work in the STD section of the department of health and trust me, it's real out here when to comes to these STD's. I've said it before but I'll say it again. It's one thing to read stats released every year but to put a name to it is something else.

I worked as an appointment coordinator at a hospital a couple years back
you wouldn't believe the type of calls I took, especially the sti ones
worse part is I had to get detailed information brehs
them describing their symptoms
(bumps, ooze, rash, itch, blisters, discoloration, odor)

got paid good tho
and them benefits

ever since that job...
I can't go raw and I'm wrappin' it up
In some cases I want the broad to get tested
I can't do it brehs

I have a couple of ain't shyt cousins who happen to be sisters. Both have genital herpes due to neglecting any protection and humping anything that moved, but only one refused to go to her scheduled appointments and as such, when she went into labor, no record of it was on file and she delivered the baby vaginally - thus infecting her little girl with the herpes virus. Poor baby didn't even have a say so or an opportunity to fukk up.

Herpes is fairly easy to get. And most human beings carry multiple strains of HSV. I know a doctor and he said its so common, and so non life threatening that they don't even really test for it unless you request it. Cold sores, shilgles, chicken pox, genital herepes etc are all strains of the same thing. Its more about the social stigma with it. I know many people with it who are happily married after they've had it. I know people who've gotten it using protection. If you're sexually active, even with condoms you exponentially increase your chances of contracting it. Its been around since the roman empire (first documented case of it). Think about it. If a woman has genital herpes, the base of your penis, and balls are exposed to all of that vaginal fluid that contains the virus. Not saying you shouldn't practice safe sex. HIV on the other hand is a little more difficult to contract. With straight normal unprotected vaginal sex, your chances of contracting it are exponentially less than if you were to perform anal sex in Tue same manner. Or if you had prolonged vaginal sex, or open wounds. i don't have herpes, but the idea of throwing someone away because they may have it seems repugnant to me. /rant

I made a thread about visiting my homeboy who works at. Hospital here, and even he told me its insane, and to just assume everybody has something, get tested, and to strap up. I've always strapped, but the look on his face when he started breaking it down for me was off putting.
