Yeah, that was pretty retarded. The LBJ winning FMVP in a losing effort hypetrain was so strong that either he was going to win or the person responsible for guarding him was. Iguodala was very reliant on the playmaking of Curry and being borderline neglected as a result of the Cavs strategy to stop the splash bros from deep. Defensively while he was stellar, the Warriors gave him a lot of help on James as the series progressed by doubling down in the lane and as a team made him uncomfortable/forced him to look for other options.

I have a lot of respect for Iggy and he's been underrated for a very long time so I was happy to see him get that, but he didn't deserve that award over Curry.
