Have we ever seen this defense in the NBA? :gucci:

teams so shook of Steph Curry nobody commands this type of defensive respect
He's gonna face a Triangle and Two next :pachaha:

It was a weak gimmick stunt, but to look at it from nurse's perspective, main objective of guys like green, bogut, and the other role players is to get curry open. Especially with KD and Klay out. At the end of the day tho, it was a panicky move that didn't work.

Cot damn now I see why the old regulars who made the old site and the first couple years of this site enjoyable with actual basketball analysis left. Nothing but hot takes and nikkas legit on the spectrum here now.

I'm actually reading that because the Raptors offense went cold it means the defense they played to hold GS to ONE FG in 5 minutes wasn't effective. I don't understand where the shyt yall type comes from at all. Like seriously during the Portland series when Klay or Steph were out there by themselves you were begging the D to sell out on them since nobody else could score. Nick Nurse does that, holds them to 3 points in 5 minutes, and mind you they very easily could have turned the ball over on the play in which they scored the 3 points, and nikkas in here saying it wasn't effective.

No smilies needed here, because I legit think a good portion of yall are slow. And that's not a laughing matter.

I don't think they understand how much this elevates a player. You basically admitted to your entire team that. We can't guard him. So we will use the entire defensive scheme to stop One Player. This simply does not happen in the Pros. :mjlol:

It's used in Middle school, High School or College because you usually only have one guy that's way better than everyone else. In the NBA one player should not be looked at as THAT superior to everyone on the court by a defense.

Nick Nurse is shameless though gotta be :pachaha:

It’s not saying that at all in this case though

It’s saying they don’t respect the other players and they want to force them to make plays

:what: DID YOU WATCH THE GAME?

YOU DO REALIZE HE PLAYED LIKE TRASH
FOR THE MOST PART BEFORE THEY EVEN WENT TO THE BOX AND 1?

STEPH MADE 4 SHOTS IN THE 2ND QRT
AND 2 SHOTS IN THE 3RD QRT.
THATS IT...

THEY WERE DOWN AND NEEDED TO PRESSURE
HIM SO THEY COULD GET THE BALL BACK
AND IT WORKED.

It worked because GS didn't score for the last 5 minutes, leaving Toronto inches away from stealing the ball and tying the game. If you look on the play where Iggy was wide open on the shot to seal it, Pascal after coming over to double Steph saw that Kawhi was about to steal the ball and started upcourt instead of going back to Iggy.

Never thought I would ever see the Box and 1 in a NBA game...let alone in the NBA finals and it actually worked.:ehh:

Toronto just didn't score enough points...they got too cute trying to hit 3's instead of being aggressive and taking it to the hole. That scoring drought in the 3rd quarter didn't help either.:yeshrug:

They let game 2 slip outta they're hands

Steph didn’t “force” a box and one. Every other offensive factor on GSW being off of the court allowed for Toronto to try that gimmick shyt. And it worked. :yeshrug:

OP is one of the most shameless dikkriders on the site. His only aim with every post is to try to convince everyone that Steph Curry is the goat. This becomes obvious very quickly with threads like this.

It worked? I seem to recall Iggy hitting a 3 and the Dubs winning.
:mjlol:

Nick Nurse went all out to stop one player and it cost him. He tipped his hand to soon. Warriors will prepare for it now

That 3 ball had zero to do with defensive strategy,he was wide open cuz dumbass Siakam leaked out on the play thinking they had gotten a steal...
