Yo there's a word that sounds like nikka in mandarin. I hear developers speaking chinese talkin bout "niiikkaaaa, nikkaaa, nikkkaaa" every other word and I know it isn't the N-word.

In China the phrase “neige” is used as a filler phrase similar to using “umm” when you’re thinking or when stuck and searching for the best word or phrase to continue a thought.

It’s used so often most Chinese don’t know they’re saying it repetitively. You can have a short convo in Chinese and depending on how articulate (or inarticulate) the speaker you may hear “neige” 20 times.

this.

first time I heard it in china I hit the :picard: so I asked my chinese homie what she was saying and he said neige means 'um'.

I think that guy said um (while struggling to find the english words), good nite.

they really dont know the meaning out there. i mean, some that are into rap might but the overall population have no idea, they dont use fb, youtube and things of that nature. the chinese have a completely different internet and mostly go on their own sites. thats why I had to use a vpn for 6 yrs. :martin:
