Even though Kobe is a chucker that's a very misleading stat without context. Kobe came in at 17 and sat behind Eddie Jones for a couple years while steph came at 21 and with nobody in front of him.
Monta disagrees. Keith Smart was giving Acie Law big minutes over Steph down the stretch his second season.

Yes but he came into the league more ready and had a more prominent role
no breh, your post doesnt make sense.

He did it in LESS minutes. If he plays 30 minutes a night, thats 10 less games averaging 40 points a game. (which Steph obviously didn't do)

Nah breh, we not using that as reasoning. Find something better. Especially since Curry missed a lot of games due to his ankles being on fire in those nine years. (and he missed 30 games last season with injuries)

Steph is going to have a ton of 'fans' that sh*t on him now, but will be on some "...it was something special seeing him play in his prime..." sh*t. Ol' revisionist mufakkas.....
Lol
I didnt see the Curry hype and was against comparing him to other greats

But what I have been seeing the last 3 years...I was wrong. Curry is a transcendent player.

It’s still just a weird stat

Like steph NEEDED those 4 years of college

He wouldn’t have even been able to play Kobe’s limited minutes at 18-19
Would you argue that in comparing Jordan's college experience to Lebron coming straight into the league?

I dont think so
But if you would, touche

Steph only was in college three years. And he easily could have come out after two. Steph at 20 was a much more NBA-ready player than Kobe at 18.

That's sophomore Curry going up against 22yo Brandon Rush, 20yo Darrell Arthur, and 22yo Mario Chalmers, who would be the #13, #27, and #34 picks in the draft a month later. He clearly would have been fine in the league.

I just don’t think the comparison makes sense when one guy instantly comes to the league with 30+ minutes. The other doesn’t even start till his 3 year. Kobe plays more minutes over 9 years but in his first 2 seasons he avg. 6 and 11 FGA.

A better comparison would be Steph vs Jordan or Vince Carter

Yeah I just saw it was only 3.

Steph couldn’t have came out of HS though

Expand on the point... Jordan would have came out of HS if he was 15 years younger. It wasn’t the norm in his day.
