We are VERY young in Stephs career. Just imagine how many 45pt youtube videos, how many game winning shots we will find on youtube for steph in 10+ years?

Ray had the nicest jumper I have ever seen, but baring injury, Steph will blow him out of the water.

Wonder how Ray would look in todays game. He never had the greenlight to just gun 3's like players do today...
This is something that gets overlooked as well. The one advantage Steph has over the older cats is he came into the league during the analytics era where players are not only allowed but encouraged to chuck up threes to their hearts' content. Kyle Korver is an All Star and dropped 20+ in that game in this era. Think about that for a second.

It's not convenient....If a guy shoots more 3s and shoots at a higher percentage he's a better shooter. It's not like we're talking about Kyle Korver this year where he's shooting less 3s but shooting dam near 50 percent.......It's common sense dude.

No shyt but i see plenty of posts around here when nikkas be stanning act like % don't mean shyt

Ray's J is prettier, that's about it. Still a damn good shooter regardless.

Elaborate.
Too many factors involved to determine one guy is a better shooter than another overall, you have to be more specific/break it down imo. And if your just going off of strictly percentages then Shaq and DeAndre Jordan can be goats:mjlol:

Between the two I want Ray taking the last shot for my team as of right now. Let's see what Steph does the rest of his career I can't put him over Ray yet.

I'm waiting on a Steph Curry > Michael Jordan thread to pop up next.

yes it does, we're talking straight 3 point percentage where the only thing that matters is 3's, not regular fg percentage whereyou factor in layups, drives, jump shots, dunks, and post post moves.

So I stand by my statement, shooting way more 3's and still having a way higher percentage means youre a better 3 point shooter

Fair enough as far as the bolded in that aspect

Love Steph and he's the king of this shooting shyt at the moment but I gotta go with Jesus

If you only saw Ray in Boston you lost. Seattle and Milwaukee versions>>>>>>>> . Ray wearing the 34 was so much more than the catch and shoot version of Ray we saw in Boston

Prime Ray Allen was :wow:

His release was :whoo:

Numbers don't lie.

Curry already beat beat Ray Allen's record twice without taking as many shots. And plus Curry got the playoffs record for most 3s and the NBA Finals didn't even start yet

Your case is of ray being a better shooter is just "but but but but Ray was so awesome!"

Yeah if we're comparing players say, James Harden vs someone else (of course TS and the amount of times he gets to the line, PER and everything else makes his FG% useless, it's not 1998 anymore) but if we're comparing straight 3 point shooters and who's better then FG% says it all.
