The criticism for Curry in this thread is equivalent to someone telling me Wes Welker is better than Randy Moss when it's obvious who the opposing defense was designed to stop and who opens things up for the rest of the team.

People just don't get it.
:leostare: at @FlyRy dappin this after just shytting on Curry.

They ran the pnr w Speights and got the same result as they do w Draymond. That wasn't a big factor. Stephen and Klay just came back down to Earth finally missing all those threes in the 2nd half while Kyrie and Bron stayed hot. Funny since of course everyone said the opposite would happen at halftime.
speights isnt the creator or scoring threat draymond is. That's why they were trapping in the first place

Opposing teams didnt design the defense to focus on stopping Wade in 06? Defenses werent designed to focus on Hakeem in back to back finals? Teams didnt key in on Dirk as the only all star that could beat them in 2011? Im guessing 6 different Finals teams just didnt think to design their defenses to stop MJ, huh?

Whats that? Oh, they all did and these alltime great players stepped up and dominated to win FMVP anyway? Oh ok.

Draymond isnt much of a scoring threat. Speights is actually more of a scoring threat than him, especially in this offense. As I said they ran the pnr w Mo same way they would w Dray and got the same result.

You guys aren't going to break through the lightskinned bond that Gil shares with Steph.

It compels him to :cape: for Curry at all costs....he probably had a Kid from House Party poster on his wall as a child too.

Can you not read or something? I said there were no excuses for how he performed in this game. He simply wasn't good nor aggressive enough. I think y'all dudes just like to make up shyt so you have something to complain about.

What has been going on since the start of the playoffs?

TS is trolling. I wouldn't put too much stock into what he's saying. I've NEVER made excuses during these playoffs when he's played bad. Why are you speaking like he hasn't had great games throughout the postseason? I only come to his defense when there's dumb shyt posted about him. If cats are reasonable with their criticism there'd be no need for me to defend him at all.

Do you think it's reasonable to say that Curry lacks the size and athleticism to truly take over games when his shot isn't falling?

Is it also reasonable to say that the fact that he doesn't have elite speed, length, size, jumping ability, etc. makes him a major step below what we consider the all-time greats?

You were the first one trotting back out that tired injury excuse again a week ago.

Don't put me on a pedestal. :mjpls:

I'm not copping ANY pleas for this Warriors team (you can only play what's in front of you - out of control factors should not be used against any player or team - hence why the asterisk talk only lines the gutter), I'm simply calling out all the double standard shyt that goes on when folk discuss this team. If Curry has re-aggravated his injury or has to push through the pain - so be it, he won't be the first player and he won't be the last to deal with ailments. You don't use it as an excuse and you damn sure as hell don't use it against teams from winning.

The post you quoted of mine was to illustrate how pathetic it is when dudes were using any injury-related excuse against the Warriors when they were winning but then denying them of any injury-related excuse when it affects them when they're losing. They can't have it both ways.

:manny:
That doesn't sound like I'm making excuses for him.

He still has impact when his shot isn't falling - he warps defenses more than any other perimeter player that's ever played the game. Look at all the defensive attention he receives on and off the ball and how he manages to find open players with his passing and his weaving around screens in the halfcourt allows his teammates to get open looks. Yes his lack of size does limit him in some areas (mostly on defense) but there's much more to his game if his shot isn't falling.
Is it also reasonable to say that the fact that he doesn't have elite speed, length, size, jumping ability, etc. makes him a major step below what we consider the all-time greats?
It depends on who you classify as all-time greats. He just had one of the greatest individual seasons of all time - his peak is up their Magic. If he continues along this curve for the rest of his prime, he'll go down as one of the greatest PGs that's ever played the game.
