Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Is that what he'd do?
Take 27 shots a game from nearly half court?

Challenge accepted
:heh:

Halfcourt is his range, but realistically the reason why he's so difficult to defend is because he's not really going to the rim. Teams have tried everything with him at this point, bigger more physical defenders and he dances and creates a little space & splash, smaller defender and he goes around a screen or just sizes them up and splash.

Any separation and a 3 point shot is going up and there's a 45% chance it's going in, nobody is going to press up on him 26 feet from the rim and have solid results, handchecking would have more of an effect on a slashing wing player that has no jumpshot than it would a dude that's sizing people up and looking to get jumpers off as opposed to attacking the rim. Did handchecking stop Mark Price? nope.

IMO the disrespect and doubt flow from the fact he doesn't measure up as an individual athlete/player
when the lights are on and the cameras are rolling he's automatic yeah
he's the best player on the nba stage would be the more accurate statement
but that's within the sterile controlled environment of the league

with other players in the conversation you have more confidence that they can dominate any situation
whether it be 1v1 against anybody or drop them into dyckman the rucker or another court with no refs and motherfukkers basically throwing hooks and clotheslines tryna body you

there is no fear factor with steph
vs. athletes who clearly can overwhelm you with athleticism or size
no matter how you defend them or how physical you get they will still get buckets

he's an amazingly polished nba product and the highest pinnacle of sterns vision for the league reached thus far
clean crisp beautiful to watch highlight filled

it's the opposite of the days of zeke and the bad boys era
grimy chippy ruff raw and reminiscent of the streets
and I'm a young nikka too but i understand the questions and shade

we assume he's soft until proven otherwise fukk the statistics

:mjlol: at how this weirdo downplays the fact that steph is clearly ballin in the best league in the world against the worlds best players

But would he be as good in a pick up game at the Rucker?
I mean sure he keeps breaking the league 3 pt record and is the reigning league mvp and arguably the greatest shooter in league history
But how would he react if someone swung at him in a pick up game in Washington heights?

People posting old videos....that doesn't prove anything. The point is that Curry is better now then he's ever been. Not just shooting, but his control of the game, playmaking, and even defense.

He's not better NOW than russy is.

And Russy has to share the ball with another top 5 player, Steph DOES NOT.

Actually I disagree. his shot and play style can be emulated. It's just that nobody has spent significant years trying. Now that it's been proven to be successful you're going to have a lot of Steph Curry influenced guards in the future. Especially if coaches let players play as loose as Steph does. Let's not forget, all it would have taken was a conservative coach and Steph wouldn't even get the opportunity to shoot these wild ass shots he does. The wrong coach and Steph would have been an afterthought in NBA history.

If Steph weren't in the NBA he'd be on the PGA tour, dude is a very good golfer considering it gets his spare time, he's exceptional at repeating motions which is why he can shoot the way he does. We're talking about the dude with the best jumpshot of all time, and an absolutely elite handle, which is what almost every shooter lacks. He has the jumpshot you'd see from a "stand in the corner" specialist 3 point shooter, paired up with the ability to create off the dribble, which is not something that can be emulated.

...and? Lebron's team was constructed around his strengths, when healthy, but they weren't healthy in the Finals which led to Lebron having to go into super hero-ball mode for 4 quarters.

Put Lebron on those Warriors and that team doesn't lose a damn thing. Even though Curry and Lebron have much different scoring styles, Lebron is versatile enough where he can pretty much do anything the Warriors need while becoming a one man wrecking crew like Curry. Keep Klay for guarding those quick PGs and what really changes if it's Lebron or Klay bringing up the court?

Again, switch the two players. What team becomes the overwhelming favorites to sweep?
Hell no. Lebron would have made their offense stale by holding ball while the clock goes down to the final seconds before he make a play. Warriors offense is deadly because they know how to keep the ball in motion. They have that advantage because Curry can quickly divert from being the ball handler to a spot up shooter. Curry does not need the ball in his hand in every possession to wreck terror on defense. He can run towards the basket for a backdoor play, and run through screens to set himself up for a spot up shot. He could all this without burning the clock down to 5 seconds left to make a play.

f*ck what y'all talking about, that boy was cooking...Pelicans or not.

it's too early to be declaring best of anything...Steph goin' keep cooking, Westbrook goin' continue to go psycho. only thing that matters is who's hoisting that trophy at the end of the season.

Steph right now is on a whole other level. Scoring wise he's reached that Kobe/Jordan/prime T-Mac level of where you just have to hope they are off. What Curry lacks in height he makes up for in his quick release and ball handling. fukk the shooting and passing and all that which are all just completely ridiculous. I honestly don't remember a player who forces an entire defense to be in a constant state of panic trying to make sure he doesn't get a sliver of a look when he's on-ball or off-ball. The fact that he can shoot from so deep, shoot in any stance and doesn't even really need to set his feet, and if he switch the wrong player on them will either cross them or step back and pop an open three on him and it's just impossible to defend. To me he's clearly the best player in the league right now.

this is where the soft nba rules benefit a player like chef c. you saw Delly bothering him in the playoffs. so was shump. how? they are stronger, larger guys. they were bodying him up and handchecking(refs allowed it since the cavs were so banged up to make it a series).

but in normal nba games in 2015. you cant touch anyone on the perimeter without a whistle. so no you cant guard him PERIOD. you just cant. if curry was here in the late 90's. their would be better defense on him. he would still do his thing because he's that good and has that great footwork. But it would be more difficult causing his fg%, and 3pt% to slip a bit. but now. there's no logical way to guard him period. so why even try at this point. pray he does put up kobe numbers (62 in 3, 81 in 4, a bunch of 50 pt games in a row, etc.)
