I know ATL also was giving nikkas that “since you on a good team, you deserve an AS appearance”, but I got a feeling Draymond ever being considered for an all star game is gonna look scust in hindsight. He got nothing

Youre proving the point. Steph needs an ensemble and plenty of talent to dominate.
Explain to me how Klay, Draymond, Iggy (32), Barnes (when he was only avg 12 ppg), Livingston, Bogut, Ezeli, Barbosa etc is "plenty of talent"?

Going into the '14/'15 season, nobody would have said Steph's support cast was filled with "plenty of talent", and if you told anybody that his support cast was good enough to help the Warriors win 67 games that season and then 73 games the season after - you would've been laughed off this board. You're only saying this in retrospect because you're looking at it in hindsight to take away from Steph's ability and achievements.
Thats why he was a good but not really special player pre Kerr before the whole motion offense.
The motion offense actually helped his support cast to a far greater degree than it helped him: it harnassed his gravity to open up the floor for his teammates to get easy scoring opportunities. Without it, the likes of Dray, Iggy, Barnes, Rush etc would have had a harder time creating shots for themselves. It's why they've had the most dominant offense in history simply because of his gravity; the defensive attention he receives is like having an extra player on offense. He was already a special player before Kerr came along; he was in the midst of rebuilding his body to get over all the injuries, and fine-tuning his shooting which happened to coincide with Kerr's tenure as coach.

His career-high 54 point-performance was in 2013:

He was a special player all the way back then.

Kerr has gone on record to state that, they could've run basic PnR during his MVP seasons and Steph would've broken all types of scoring/assist averages, but the team would be worse off in the long run; they'd become too one-dimensional on offense and his teammates wouldn't be able to develop their skillsets, which they'd need to when they needed to step up in the playoffs.

The motion offense has all been about helping Steph's teammates, all at the cost of his #s.
How Steph defense looking now that he dont got Klay, Iggy and KD to cover for his shytty D
Another misconception - Steph is a good defender, and anyone saying any different clearly isn't paying enough attention.

Stop acting like if you replaced Steph with either Klay or Iggy or KD, that this team would have a noticeably better defense. Their defense is a work in progress because they've got nine new players in the rotation, most of whom are inexperienced, and they're missing their two starting-rotational centers (WCS and Looney). They don't have the size, they don't have the experience, and they don't have the chemistry.

Neither Klay, or Iggy, or KD by themselves would fix GS issues on defense.
Steph is 8-10 in finals without KD and 9-1 with him  4 of those wins were with Kyrie/Love out
KD is 9-1 in Finals with Steph; KD is 1-4 in the Finals without Steph.

p.s. The Warriors were 296-62 with Steph (82% win record) and 26-26 (50% win record) without him at one point.

Checkmate

Can't stand front runners, man. Dude all cocky and arrogant in the first three quarters when things are going well, but the minute the 4th quarter shows up breh was constantly pouting and disappearing. Now the battle field is more even and he's looking like a bum. Sure he's a great player but all of a sudden when he's not on a stacked team with crazy shooting depth, he's looking suspect. Lot of super stars ball out solo without help, whether they win or lose. This dude on the other hand looks like a bum so far.

He's gonna get injured and miss 20 plus games, just watch.

I just want people who were critical of Booker (with the putrid rosters he has had on the Suns until this season) to have the same energy for Curry.

Can you explain to me how during his most dominant season in 2016, you came to the conclusion that the Warriors had "crazy shooting depth"?

The Warriors best shooter, apart from Steph and Klay, during that season was Draymond. Yet y'all nikkas on this board say that he can't shoot.

:lolbron:

:jbhmm:

Why was nobody calling the Warriors a stacked team back in 2015 before they went on to win 67 games (and then 73 games the year after)?

Did it ever cross your mind that your perception of them being stacked was actually due to Steph's ability?

Because he's misinformed. They had no cap to sign anyone. They only had a mini MLE (they eventually used on Will Stein) they could use and minimum contracts they could offer. KD didn't resign with the Warriors in any manner. He just walked away. The deal was between Brooklyn, GS, and Minny. Brooklyn got a protected 1st from GS. GS got Dlo and Minny got Shabazz and cash. GS would not have been able to sign Dlo if not for the sign and trade. GS was over the cap prior to the sign and trade (and after KD leaving) but since they were below the apron they could do a sign and trade for Dlo.
You're wrong about that chief

Steph Curry is considered and IS a top 5 player in this league. Since he's in that category we will hold him to the same standards as a lebron, kd, kahwi and so forth. I fully expect steph's leadership ability to get this team and rally his team and get them motivated to play better because that's the expectations he faces. Other players play without their top teams and they still can right the ship. I want to see steph take the lead on defense and raise his level of play on that end.
