Chip team 1 and 4 were not superteams. They were just the perfect mix around him...like the overwhelming majority of chip teams. That said Steph, by nature of his main weapon and stature and durability, has always been streaky and needed more around him than the other players that he is grouped with historically. And I am not talking about talent or reputation, I am talking utlity...guys that can handle the ball, defend, rebound, keep his minutes and responsibility down etc. And yes all players need these things to a degree obviously. But with Steph, its the difference between a chip caliber team and a team that doesn't even make the playoffs. shyt gets ugly if it aint all just right around him.

Facts. Steph is an all time great. But he's not a top 10 all time player. He's too much of a defensive liability to be a floor raiser like the top 10 all time greats. He's definitely a ceiling raiser tho.

People are bringing up "he missed the playoffs the most by an MVP". OK and?

The Warriors were complete trash when he was drafted and in the first few years of his career. Is that supposed to be his fault? LOL.

I thought the Warriors winning in 2022 put an end to these silly convos about Steph. I guess not. SMH.

If you have like 80 million in salary worth of players out, and your second best player has troubles dropping double digits in any statistical category except techs per seasons. Who the hell is doing anything at all?

GSWs front office has been terrible for damn near a decade soon. The fact that they managed to win again is mad impressive.

Not all players are unfortunate to deal with such lengthy injuries to key players, and himself for that matter

Lol wtf has KD done without Curry...Curry won another ring after he left, meanwhile KD's best season since is ALMOST making the ECF :dead:
lol exactly.

50% of curry’s titles is with* KD, 100% of KDs is with Curry. Why are they even mentioning KD to downplay curry :snoop:

Jerry West set them up for the run they had with great drafting... since KD left, they've been ass in that category and that's why they been Play-In Bound

The fact they won that chip AFTER KD left is a testament to how dope Steph is, that's his most impressive title cause ain't no way that shyt should have even happened. Kerr and the team was surprised they even did that

IRONICALLY YOU LISTED
EVERY DRAFT PICK BUT
POOLE WHO WAS A BIG REASON
THEY WON THAT TITLE

Bron created this whole fukkin narrative. That has benefitted curry.
By making the worst trade in nba history.

Bron's trade.
Literally created :

- a fake dynasty that enabled a franchise.
to be taken our the self inflicted gutter.
into a sellable commodity.
Worth billions.
When if not for that trade. The warriors would be the buffalo bills of the nba.

-literally made steph curry remembered on a level. That if not for the worst trade ever. Steph would be forgotten probably worst than pistol pete.
Plus race would have him take a back seat in legacy to jerry west.

a jerry west who constructed all this to compete and win.
if given a chink in the armor to do so. Where bron actually took the pic and damaged his own armor.
Self inflicting his career wirh failure from over thinking. Which allowed the warriors to become ;

THE WARRIORS

-made under armor into a multi sport athlete powerhouse outfitter.
THAT FOR TIME. WAS REALLY GOOD
that one misstep was pr gold.
that eventually was the only neg drawing point. That could be cited as low quality. Yet ua meant well with the curry low.

All this shyt is literally because brin over thought and jagged the second. Of two failed four peats.

Now go look at that Jokic thread and tell me this is a black site :russ:
nikkas just disregard Steph’s number in both KD finals and act like the nikka didn’t prove himself in 2022 and The Olympics
It’s a lot of slack jawed fakkits on this site with kufis and dashikis:mjpls:

But you're still leaving out the important context as to why they missed the playoffs this season and blaming it on him because shyt got ugly if it ain't just right around him, as if he has some character/player flaw.

Nobody is taking this bum ass squad to the playoffs.

Have you had a look at the roster?

- 36-year-old Dray, who's a shell of his former self
- 39-year old Horford
- Deteriorated version of Porzingis
- 33-year-old GP2, who's been in and out of the G-League
- Journeyman Melton, who's been passed around the league
- Seth Curry (enough said)
- 55th pick Santos, who's only just started getting consistent minutes after being in the G-League.

The only player who's really been a constant and shown some life as a piece of the future is Podz, and he's been over his head for much of the season, only because they haven't been able to rely on anyone else. All the other players are either on their way out, or have question marks over their future.

You think any star player is taking this team to the playoffs?

And any clear reference to his durabiltiy is downright ridiculous. He's 38.

You keep pointing to him needing "utility" players, but the fact is, they need him more than he needs them. He can take on more ball-handling duties, but to get the best out of the guys that share the floor with him, using him as an off-ball threat opens up more of the floor for them. It's the reason why they've had the success they've had because of how the coaching/system harnesses Steph's ability to make the players around him better.

Just look at how they struggled to keep their head above the surface while he was out.

Even a team like the Pels have more talent/ability on their roster.
Facts and with all that being said if he doesnt miss all them games they make the playoffs with maybea a even higher seed than 8th with that bum ass roster
