Steph is a legend, it's a shame how the Warriors organization has failed him in his twilight years...

Multiple chances to infuse young quality talent around their aging core and just fukked up. I know people pinpoint the Wiseman over Melo decision, but even moving beyond that. The Kuminga/Moody draft was just as damaging considering guys who they passed on there too...

Kuminga over Franz Wagner
Moody over Alperen Sengun, Trey Murphy and Jalen Johnson

Jerry West set them up for the run they had with great drafting... since KD left, they've been ass in that category and that's why they been Play-In Bound.

The fact they won that chip AFTER KD left is a testament to how dope Steph is, that's his most impressive title cause ain't no way that shyt should have even happened. Kerr and the team was surprised they even did that

:mjlol:

Chip team 1 and 4 were not superteams. They were just the perfect mix around him...like the overwhelming majority of chip teams. That said Steph, by nature of his main weapon and stature and durability, has always been streaky and needed more around him than the other players that he is grouped with historically. And I am not talking about talent or reputation, I am talking utlity...guys that can handle the ball, defend, rebound, keep his minutes and responsibility down etc. And yes all players need these things to a degree obviously. But with Steph, its the difference between a chip caliber team and a team that doesn't even make the playoffs. shyt gets ugly if it aint all just right around him.

You do realize Steph was out for two months, right? And you do realize that Jimmy Butler has been out since January, right?

That's why GS were fighting in the play-in tournament because their #1 and #2 options had been injured.

If both of them were healthy, this thread wouldn't even exist right now because they'd be awaiting for the 1st round to start.

I wasnt just talking about this year and that is a clear reference to his durability, or lack thereof which isnt a new, isolated thing.
