I wasnt just talking about this year and that is a clear reference to his durability, or lack thereof which isnt a new, isolated thing.
But you're still leaving out the important context as to why they missed the playoffs this season and blaming it on him because shyt got ugly if it ain't just right around him, as if he has some character/player flaw.

Nobody is taking this bum ass squad to the playoffs.

Have you had a look at the roster?

- 36-year-old Dray, who's a shell of his former self
- 39-year old Horford
- Deteriorated version of Porzingis
- 33-year-old GP2, who's been in and out of the G-League
- Journeyman Melton, who's been passed around the league
- Seth Curry (enough said)
- 55th pick Santos, who's only just started getting consistent minutes after being in the G-League.

The only player who's really been a constant and shown some life as a piece of the future is Podz, and he's been over his head for much of the season, only because they haven't been able to rely on anyone else. All the other players are either on their way out, or have question marks over their future.

You think any star player is taking this team to the playoffs?

And any clear reference to his durabiltiy is downright ridiculous. He's 38.

You keep pointing to him needing "utility" players, but the fact is, they need him more than he needs them. He can take on more ball-handling duties, but to get the best out of the guys that share the floor with him, using him as an off-ball threat opens up more of the floor for them. It's the reason why they've had the success they've had because of how the coaching/system harnesses Steph's ability to make the players around him better.

Just look at how they struggled to keep their head above the surface while he was out.

Even a team like the Pels have more talent/ability on their roster.

I just don't wanna hear anybody ever puttin Steph on LeBron's level
Let me just preface, I mean no disrespect towards Bron moving teams and aligning himself with the appropriate talent -

But let's not act like he would be doing anything of note with this Warriors squad. Steph has had to constantly make the best out of bad situations, being stuck in GS with the bare minimum help over the last half a decade. He hasn't had the luxury of constantly moving where the grass is greener, surrounding himself with younger, elite talent. He carried GS to their last championship when Kevon Looney was the only legitimate big in the rotation, and he's 6-9 with multiple hip surgeries. He's now on the Pels and he can't even crack the rotation.

That's the type of shyt that Steph has had to deal with.

You think if Bron stayed in Cleveland for the entirety of his career that you would be having this type of energy in 2026? Or would you be a bit more understanding of Steph's situation because Bron would be going through something similar?

Steph vs Bron.....

Steph maximized his natural abilities and went as far as he could. Very impressive and a Top 15 all-timer.

Bron gives you a higher floor at his peak. Just him alone could drag you to 45 wins back in the day. Steph wasn't a floor raiser like that.

Difference between the 2 = expectations

Bron was expected to take the baton from Mikan, Wilt/Russell, KAJ/Dr. J, Magic/Bird, MJ, Shaq/Kobe as far as being the most visible icons in each era. In a vacuum his career is spectacular yet he will always be compared to the ghost of His Airness, despite being more Magic than MJ.

Steph never had those expectations. He's basically the evolution of Steve Nash. More athletic, better defender and shoots more than passes....but similar guys. 6'2", great hand/eye coordination and well rounded athletes but not freaky Bron/MJ/Wilt athletes. Both excellent shooters. Neither would ever be confused with Pippen or GP on defense (Nash was definitely worse than Curry on D).
