The defense is predicated on switching picks.
I know, the thing about them being able to switch on those picks is that they usually have more defenders to throw at a team than that team has potent offensive players. For a team like Cleveland that does have talented offensive guys, that changes their strategy a lot. You might be unable to switch if for example, Bron sets a pick (being covered by Iggy) for J.R who's being shadowed by Curry. If J.R and LeBron are both shooting well, you definitely can't leave Bron one on one with Curry, so now it's up to Andre to think about which guy he covers, but that extra second would tend to give J.R a pretty good look, would it not?

And of course there's the play after the play, where if Iggy does get slightly blown by, LeBron should expect to see help defense from whoever is holding down the paint. That's another discussion though. The point is Kyrie-J.R-LeBron-Love-TT does present arguably the toughest matchup against that small ball that one could think of.

GREAT SEASON, YES .. GREATEST OF ALL TIME? LOL NO
Stephen Curry is scoring better than Michael Jordan ever did

Oh word?

i

Stephen Curry: So much more than just a great shooter

Also:
And what about defense?

While it’s the offense that makes him transcendent, don’t fall into the trap of thinking he’s a defensive liability either. Starting point guards have scored 30 points against the Warriors just five times this season. And just seven times this season has an opposing starting point guard recorded 10 assists.

ESPN’s Real Plus-Minus has a defensive component and it sees Curry as a good defensive player; in fact, Real Plus-Minus has Curry ranked as the third-best defensive point guard in the NBA this season (behind Ricky Rubio and Marcus Smart).

But u go ahead and tell me who's had better seasons than this

U DON THINK WARRIORS WOULD BE GREAT WIT KYLE LOWRY?

They would be a good team, not the historic team they are now.

Kyle Lowry doesn't generate the same defensive attention that Curry does. You replace Curry with Lowry and all of sudden teams aren't doubling him off the pick and roll and giving up 4 on 3 situations. The entire way the Warriors are defended is changed. :manny:
