Considering the fact he had quite a few hockey assists (as he does every game), it's not really laughable. What Westbrook is doing is historically great, but he has the opportunity to get a high # of assists because the ball works in and out directly from him - Curry's assist numbers don't begin to illustrate how many shots he creates for his team - because of how the ball swings around. Let's not forget that Curry put up 24 ppg and 8.5 assists a game in Jackson's ISO-dominant/minimal ball-movement offense a few years ago.
I realize that Westbrook has the advantage of being allowed to be more ball dominant, which is also why him only having 2 turnovers tonight is equally impressive. I'm not pretending like Curry's efficient shooting night isn't impressive, but Westbrook's statline hasn't been replicated in the last 33+ years breh.
