...and it really is depressing because prime Russ has turned into some sort of bizzaro LeBron/Kidd combo guard and is doing some insanely impressive stuff.

Dude is at 16/8/11 tonight and its only the first half. :why:

Last year, Durant goes down so he puts the team on his back, busts his ass, puts up 28/7/9 and wins the scoring title. Post AS break he goes off for 31/9/10. He almost averaged a triple double for half his played games. :bryan:

And this year, we're talking 24/7/10 and now its even easier now that Durant is back. Kidd was pretty much the only small guard I know that could pass and board that these levels but he's nowhere near the scorer Russ is.

But what really gets me, and really Curry as well...he's putting up these numbers in 35-37 minutes worth of game time. On a per minute basis, this dude is literally a human version of the Tazmainian Devil. Guys like AI, Kobe, Bron, Jordan were all in game for 38-43 minutes consistently in their primes.

Anyway, I thought I'd just share my thoughts on Sab. I hope he gets his ring but the Warriors looking to be an all-time lineup right now.:francis:

yea football season aint over until Sunday till then NBA is irrelevant

If russ could really shoot that 3 ball. OH BOY.

But lets talk the Chef Curry for a moment. is he the truth? YES
Could he be a top 5 player in any era? YEP

With that said, i will say this. Curry is benefiting from 3 things.

#1. soft nba rules. which increases his efficiency on his shots
and therefore increases his point totals. this is how he can score so well in less time than previous greats. yes its because he can shoot. but its because he can make shots other guys could not make due to defenders being ALL OVER THEM ALLLLL THE TIME. you dont see defenders hanging all over steph on his shots from deep or in the paint. thtas because they no loner can do that and not foul out by half time. you just cant guard like that anymore. defense now is more complicated. its less about YOu and more about a great team concept. the best you can do is funnel guys. well with a shooter and ball handler like steph. funneling means nothing without actual defensive pressure all over him all the time. thats a practice shot. Easy money, Wet like water.

#2. his teams offense and his teammates are the perfect setup for the new era nba rules, analytics, etc. they are exploiting the hell out of the fact that guys cant get up on you like that anymore. while also setting a ton of screens and having great ball movement. a ton of screens is something non of your top 5 greats have ever had the luxury of having. your best guys had to destroy people without people screening them off. someone will say so why dont teams just jump steph on the pick? this goes to his team. his entire team is ready made for lighting dat a... up if you try that. you have your pf that sometimes plays center lighting it up. again they are abusing these rules and the analytics. i love it personally. i aint mad at all about it. lol. But this is why its so difficult to compare him to these other top 5 or so legends. his manner of scoring is a much easier road. and its not just because he can shoot and handle the ball. its due to the rules and his teams schemes and how good his teammates are at also exploiting these new rules/schemes.

#3. he's that good. nothing more to be said here.

shyt, tonight is just another example. Russ at 20-13-13 in the third..but Steph no.1 trending topic for dropping 36 in a half on the wiz..sheesh
and lets be clear. curry lit the wiz up for 51. but how many points this his man have? wall had like 40 or so. so another game of super high scores where there is little to no defense being played. this is a product of the rule changes as well as superior team offensive schemes to exploit the rule changes.. and things they have learned do to better analytics.

Haven't been looking forward gto any game this season more than Saturday's OKC-GSW clash. My two favorite players to watch going head to head, the best team, and another top 5 player to boot. Might have to break out some bourbon and ask my lady for a couch blowjob at half.

It seems so long ago that you would have been saying this about a Rose/Westbrook clash :mjcry:

:francis: thats some revisionist ass agenda shyt. GS put up about 115 a game. In the 80s an early 90s, they'd be one of many teams averaging 110+ points. In this era, they're the only one.

They cyse it like the league was this great land of hard nosed defense and players score at will today..the truth of the matter is scoring started declining in the mid 90s due to iso/stall ball. They switched the rules to get the scores back up and not get superstars beat up everytime they hit the lane. These were complaints back then. Nobody wanna watch them mid 90s Heat/Knicks 80-78 games :scust:It was so bad they took seconds off the half court violation to make nikkas push the ball faster... Even still, nikkas dont score as much as they did back then.

It's a damn shame. At least Rose been playing better lately. Never could've imagined he'd be an afterthought in the best PG discussion.
Obviously staying healthy is the key, but he has told local Chicago media that hes just using the regular season to build & ramp up and the playoffs and next season (contract year) he was going to be back to being an elite player

Hes actually on pace with his current trajectory (past 15-20 games have been very nice & consistent)

Im very interested in what he shows in the playoffs, its a good subplot to watch and see if he continues to hold his plan
