But don't you see how his whole argument gets thrown in the garbage because of the hoodie remark? It's like if you were to say 99 true things about the female psyche but then end it with, "Plus they act like bytches sometimes" the other 99 true remarks go into the trash because you just inserted you're own personal bullshyt ideas.

Cuban is trying to equate his fear over a piece of clothing to permanent ink and expects us to buy that as a valid comparison.

cubans argument brings up the point of WHERE these prejudices come from. that's what i'm saying. i don't agree with everything cuban said, but there is a lot of truth in it, and it was interesting to see a man of his stature say what he did. my point is that there is more that needs to be talked about than ONE sentence he said.

tell me friend, what did Smith say in that article that you consider "c00ning"?
As a black man, my article of clothing should not warrant social shunning. As a black man, I wear hoodies all the time in this New England weather, and if I wear one, that is no excuse to be threatened by me. The only time I cross the street is to avoid confrontations that are already occurring, or if there is a DIRECT threat. A black man in a hoodie should not be a direct threat to anyone. If it is, question the foundation of why that is a perceived threat. And you find racism.

I dont care about the debate of wearing a hoodie or not because at the end of the day if you want to be apart of a certain circle whether its academically, the military or in corporate america as a black man in someway shape or form you will have to conform to CAC European norms as it relates to appearance. If you dont understand this then you probably never held down a meaningful job in your life. Now previously I was asking you about the article you posted about Stephen A Smith being a black conservative.. what in that article leads you to believe he is a "c00n"?

Whites wear hoodies too. It's not an african american clothing so I don't even understand what you mean by conforming to european norms. What is the difference between a white person wearing a hoodie and a black person wearing a hoodie that you would find the black person wearing the hoodie more threatening. Unless you find all black males threatening by nature, then a guy like cuban should find all people wearing hoodies threatening, but he doesn't. Cuban has a prejudiced view of african americans and steven a smith is basically cosigning his point that it's ok to be prejudiced against blacks because they deserve it.

AT THE END OF THE DAY I AM A PART OF THE SOCIETY WHETHER I CONFORM OR NOT. I DO NOT HAVE TO DRESS AS IF EVERYDAY IS AN INTERVIEW. I DRESS PROFESSIONAL AT WORK BECAUSE I CHOOSE TOO, ITS NOT CONFORMING.

I GUESS YOU CROSSING THE STREET IF YOU SEE :beli: TOO, RIGHT?

MATTER FACT, DOES HE DRESS PROFESSIONAL AT WORK? A HOODIE CAN BE PRESUMED PROFESSIONAL WHEN WORN BY THE WHITE MAN? :ohhh:
