Yeah, I disagree with that assessment. I've been listening to Brian on TrueHoop and now the Hoop collective. That goes back to roughly I think 2009? He's never intimated, insinuated, or any such thing that him and Bron and Rich and Maverick are pals.

He likely does have more insight into Lebron than most other reporters given how longs he's been covering him and how well sourced he is.

The people that are actually part of LeBrons team are people like mcmenamin.
