South Carolina has beaten ECU from 2011-2014 ... ECU has always played tough and almost pulls it out.

Ruffin has owned the state of North Carolina for the most part. there was a joke where folks would say ECU should be the ACCs north Carolina representative. ECU put up an "our state" billboard one year.

firing Ruffin made no sense.
According to our AD, he was mainly released because he hadn't won any conference championships in the last three years. Here are their records for the last four seasons:

2012: 8-5
2013: 10-3
2014: 8-5
2015: 5-7

Ruffin McNeill is one heck of a recruiter and everything you would want out of a coach. Not to mention he is a former ECU player that actually cares about the school and the program. I don't know who ECU thinks will come in that will take them to the promise land immediately but their expectations are ridiculous. When a black man is hired in any position of authority, the standards are always higher than our counterparts. We are always given a short rope to produce. No excuses here just facts.
