You suggesting Mrs. Rice couldve done something to prevent being knocked out.

I'm stickin' to my guns; SAS doesn't dare say that if the victim was the (white) fiancee/wife of a white NFL player

Did anything even come out about what "provoked" the attack between the two?

Everyone, in here, seems convinced Mrs. Rice deserved it.

That second tweet annoys me. Where was this chick whining when Stephen A Smith tells blacks, along the same lines she's talking about that skirt, that we need to cut our hair so blacks don't provoke racism? Dude got patted on the back for accepting racism...but NOW they want to get mad when he basically says to accept sexism.

All these people suddenly mad can kiss my ass with their selective outrage.

You shouldn't be surprised, most people only get "outraged" like this when it's something that pertains to them.

Because she has said slick things about blacks before, especially Mike Vick and LeBron James, which is where I suspect all this backlash against her is really coming from.

She said slick shyt about their behavior, not their race. Not that I agree with her commentary, but you cant act as if black people are completely above ever being criticized

The moment a young(ish), blonde woman says, "I'll never feel clean again" and then implicated provoking rape towards Stephen A, he was DONE.

Nothing he could've said would've saved him from looking like teh bad guy in the court of public opinion running to her defense.
Expertly done by Beadle....

My series of tweets a short time ago is not an adequate way to capture my thoughts so I am using a single tweet via Twitlonger to more appropriately and effectively clarify my remarks from earlier today about the Ray Rice situation. I completely recognize the sensitivity of the issues and the confusion and disgust that my comments caused. First off, as I said earlier and I want to reiterate strongly, it is never OK to put your hands on a women. Ever. I understand why that important point was lost in my other comments, which did not come out as I intended. I want to state very clearly. I do NOT believe a woman provokes the horrible domestic abuses that are sadly such a major problem in our society. I wasn’t trying to say that or even imply it when I was discussing my own personal upbringing and the important role the women in my family have played in my life. I understand why my comments could be taken another way. I should have done a better job articulating my thoughts and I sincerely apologize.

Absolutely...SAS is pandering to a certain type. Whats ironic about this whole "dont provoke people into fighting you" business is that attacking someone who was provoking you justified the murder of Trayvon in the eyes of right wing whites, but those same people conveniently dont have a problem with SAS's commentary here. So its okay to blow away someone who responds to your provocation and harassment as long as the color and gender aligns right

Damn shame they got that man tap dancing for a white bytch. He remembers what unemployment felt like so he's making sure to keep the white folk happy. Dude used to be a stand up cat before he was fired.
