No one is "caping" for him. Anyone who looks at what he said in context can see that this is just some fake liberal white woman intentionally distorting his words and using this as a platform to project fake outrage and get some shine for herself.

Edit: Now that I think about it SAS made a similar comment when he was talking about Chad Johnson and Evelyn and there wasn't as much backlash so this further proves that it's just someone attention whoring.
Beadle wasn't watching that day. Her getting offended was the game changer.

Times like this makes you see how imperative it is to have a different voice and not just a black voice either. A voice period that can say differing opinions without everybody jumping them cause its the safe thing to do. Coward shyt I tell ya.

This shyt is hilarious, Stephen A. Smith said far worse shyt about Evelyn Lozada when Ocho headbutted her and Jemele Hill got offended and nothing happened. A white woman gets offended and he has to cop pleas. Here's the footage

If Michelle Beadle still worked for ESPN at that time and felt offended he would've had to go on twitter to appease her back then yet Jemele feels some type of way and who gives a fukk? It's 2014 and nikkas still can't offend white women without paying for it.

The thing about Evelyn is that she was KNOWN for being ratchet as fukk and starting fights like it was nothing on the reality show she was on. So that's why no one stood up for her.

The crazy part is...

Stephen A only brought up the "Dont provoke" stuff after hearing Skip Bayless relay the Chris Mortensen story on Ray Rice. "They reviewed the internal video. They were drunk in the elevator. She jumped on him first. Ray struck her, she hit the back of her ahead against the wall and was out."

Only then did he say basically women need to not bring about potential violence against themselves. He clearly said there are evil men out there who beat women for no reason at all. However, women should for preventive measures not provoke ( start hitting a man first, spit on them, hit them with things, etc. etc) because all does it make the situation worse. He knows he wouldnt hit a woman...but the women that do those things dont know if their guy will.

He should have been more specific with "provoke". However, if anyone followed the transition it was clear what he was talking about.

No one is standing up for Ray Rice's wife neither. The point of this whole discussion was about women provoking men to attack. Stephen A. went in on Evelyn who was the victim yet nothing happened because Beadle didn't watch or didn't feel offended but Jemele did get offended and nothing happened.

The white bish who left the company to go to be a Hollywood reporter but couldn't cut it comes back to ESPN and gets offended and ESPN makes Stephen A. tap dance to appease her yet when Jemele was offended right in his face on live television nothing happened.

True. I still think what Stephen A said back then was worse than he did yesterday.

However, I understood where he was coming from based on how violent she was on the show...

but that didnt mean Chad wasnt in the wrong for headbutting her during an argument. He went to bat for Chad too much in that scenario imo.

But I have no problem with the "women need to take preventive steps" as well to avoid situations like that....when it comes to not starting physical fights first.

how is that worse? he's right there too. the stuff he's saying is well thought out and valid but you can't talk like that on TV because the general public doesn't wanna hear that. especially women. he should know better than to be a man on TV and call a woman's behavior into question. if you can't find a way to cosign a woman being a victim in any bad situation then you don't talk about it at all because when you call her out people will either take your position and misconstrue it or flat out misrepresent it and turn you into a villain.

on TV always pander to women even if its flat out lies. that's why a President Obama can call out black men but always kisses women's asses.

It's worse because he's demonizing the victim. He put her shyt in the street, he didn't do none of that on yesterdays show all he did was say women should be careful. Watch the tape again

Jemele clearly feels offended but because her skin is black who cares? A blonde hair blue eyed woman feels offended by him saying far less and he has to apologize to her and all women and had an interview canceled by ESPN because of this shyt.
