People questioned President Bush's education and he graduated from Yale and Harvard.

A black person who advocates voting for Republicans in its current incarnation, is dismissing the last 50 years of history.
Black people have been met with nothing but scorn and hostility by the Republican Party since the Civil Righte legislation was passed.
Only a fool would align themselves with a party that shows outright disdain for the majority of black people.
It would be akin to Israeli Arabs coming out in favor of Natenyahu.
No doubt, but whats so compelling to me when it comes to the modern conservative and the black vote is how they consider it beneath them to try to win over black people, and convince them of placing their vote with republicans. Its a pretty bold strategy if nothing else. One thing you can say positive about Bush is that he aggressively went after minorities and competed for their vote. Are today's cons just too arrogant or is it narcissistic fueled delusions?

I remember when he got dropped from ESPN he used to suck Rush and Hannity trying to get on as a right wing pundit.
Psephologists attributed the Republican victory to "Reagan Democrats", millions of Democrats who voted for Reagan, as in 1980. They characterized such Reagan Democrats as southern whites and northern blue collar workers who voted for Reagan because they credited him with the economic recovery, saw Reagan as strong on national security issues, and perceived the Democrats as supporting the poor and minorities at the expense of the middle class. The Democratic National Committee commissioned a study after the election that came to these conclusions, but suppressed the report afraid that it would offend its key voters.[60]
Naw...non reading boy. I sad that conservatives need to take personal responsibility for their laziness, poor strategies and messaging, and inability to attract votes outside of southern white males. Its easy to appeal to the worst instincts of bigots...its harder to create a diverse coalition of support that actually looks like America and not the dixie south circa 1962.
SAS used the "shoppers" metaphor. Well could you imagine if a business responded to a hemorrhaging of customers by not finding ways to reverse the trends and fight for their business, and instead choosing to boorishly insult them, and claim they are stupid and slave like in mind because they arent frequenting their establishment?
*Yawn*. Another conversation conservatives advance with blacks that is characteristically belligerent and insulting. Little variation to the themes. Its like a script:
- You have the misrepresentation of epochs in history in order to minimize republican liability and/or enhance the republican brand. Here SAS butchers the civil rights movement, attendant support via political orientation, and the immediate outcomes. (Dixiecrats were conservative of course...segregationalist politicians would always portray any candidate who wasnt hardline against integration as "liberal" or "radical")
- He portrays blacks as empty-headed. Dim witted. Easily fooled and befuddled, and unable to grasp basic facts and concepts.
- He undermines the citizenship of black people as constitutional actors by making references to blacks either being slaves or living under American apartheid in the south as a way to intimidate blacks and put us in our place. In this speech he goes for "disenfranchisement" and "living under democrats thumb", so here he went for the Jim crow allusions versus the slavery appeals like "democratic planation". Reinforcing the idea that its blacks who do it to themselves.
The facts are that republicans are moving in the wrong direction when it comes to various ethnic groups, the least of which blacks. All groups are responding appropriately to republican messaging. Latino support especially has collapsed post-Bush admin. (you'll never hear this kind of language directed at latinos, asians, and jews who all overwhelmingly support dems).
Obviously a certain amount of angst and paranoia is at play when it comes to republicans hemorrhaging votes with groups outside of southern white males in the last few years, but the republican problem seems to be their inability to properly respond in the age of Obama and attract diversity in voters. Is this due to a lack of smarts, arrogance, racism --- a combo of all three?
Youtube it. He was on shows saying stuff like questioning Obama's heritage was a good question.Tell me there's video of this.
