Knicks need to trade Melo, there is absolutely no reason to have him. They won't be competing for 3-4 years, trade Melo for some young pieces and draft picks
By the time they'd want to trade Melo it'll be too late. He's got a no trade- he's going to be impossible to move. With all the other stuff he's got going on(branding) he's basically moonlighting as a basketball player at this point. He's in NY to make money outside of bball.

Why not? Rockets are looking for another big time FA, if they can't get a actual stretch 4, Melo can fit in. There are many other teams who would trade for him like the Kings, Blazers, Clippers. He's coming off a bad knee injury too, sell him at high.
