Portland has - Nurkic
Denver has - Jokic
OKC has - Adams
Rockets has - Capella
Warriors have - Cousins
Suns have - Ayton
Utah has - Gobert

Lakers wouldn't make it out the first round if they try to play small ball
None of those guys are really post up threats. Lakers have good all around defenders and rebounders to swarm and gang rebound. And who are those centers going to guard on the other end?

Nurkic, Jokic, Cousins, and Ayton are great post up players

Not on a level that they would tip the scales in a series. They aren’t dominant.

Nurkic is a decent starting C, nothing special. The others haven’t even led their teams to the playoffs, (aka not dominant).

Besides, who are they guarding if the Lakers go small?

Ayton is a rookie a and the Lakers (and any team really) would prefer a Nurkic post up over Lillard/CJ initiating offense with the ball in their hands. A guy like Jokic would create match-up problems against the Lakers but he would be food on defense if the Lakers are running small.

By your logic, Lakers shouldn't even make it past the 1st round cause Lebron is the only person on that team who led their team to the playoffs. So I guess the Lakers are doomed then

I know people like to trash the east coast but the west coast isn't all that though. The only difference between the east and west are the top two teams in their conferences. Those Western teams (except GS) have no one that can check Lebron. At the end of the day, Lebron would beat all of them except the Warriors. The Lakers got pieces and we don't know the style they're playing.

This Laker team is very talented

It's possible depending on seedings, but they for sure are not a top 2 team out west

They won 35 games with lonzo and Ingram missing 50 games combined

Almost all of their top players were super young and due to make big strides

Curious to see what style they use. Bron been so successful controlling the ball. Gotta see how they adjust.

If Bron takes another bum ass squad to the semis or the finals, people better start kissing the ring

There are different levels of impact. Lebron’s is greater than all of those guys. There are very few post up bigs that truly cause matchup issues. The Lakers are betting on running bigs off the floor. Teams are going to have to make tough decisions against them.
