It's the culture. Miami is an immigrant city. I'm sure if you put Soccer or cricket in one of those stadiums it would be full. Shh Chess too. The immigrants in Miami are completely different than the ones in L.A.

Nope, they won't go to soccer games either unless it their home country playing or something. Major Leauge Soccor failed miserably in Miami. I don't think there is one "white neighborhood" in all of Dade County. What other major city can you say that about? I'm sure there are a few other cities you can say that about but they are probably surrounded by other major cities. Miami is isolated at the bottom of a peninsula. People in the hood do love their high school football though. When i lived there, certain rival games had to be played at the old Orange Bowl because of the high demand.

Pretty much reinforces what everybody else has been saying. Terrible fans who dont go to games even with having the league MVP and top team in the NBA. This also applies to Hurricane fans as well

Damn thats terrible, and before yall come with the excuse of "its miami, its so much other stuff to do"

GTFOH because there is just as much to do in LA & NY if not more
Have you ever been out there? Its a different culture that the rest of the U.S. simply wont understand.

It's not a good sports community, but can you blame them with the ambiance of Miami?

Grabbing a Cuban sammich and sitting on a bench by the street watching choice asses pass by on the regular >>>> paying astronomical prices for shytty seats.

It's like it's not even part of the U.S. really. Any other major city in the U.S. you can drive a couple of hours in either direction and hit another major city. Miami has the ocean to the east, the sea to the south and the Everglades swamp to the west. With only Ft. Laud/WPB to the north. Add to that the dominant immigrant population and it's very unique to the rest of America. I went to school with kids who were born and raised in Miami and actually speak with a foreign accent.

That's the biggest one there. Many people have ancestors and friends who quite frankly don't care much for American Sports. Plus I also think that economics plays a huge factor...you will never be able to beat the combination of women + free opportunities to talk to them and sleep with them. All you need is a rubber and even that's optional down there lol.

One of my friends lives out there and in his eyes its the cheapest way to meet women ready and willing to talk...on the beach. You can go to the clubs and everywhere else AFTER the fact. Its almost as if things are reversed. Mostly anywhere else in the U.S. you meet the woman in the club or a place you have to spend some money outside of work, THEN think about other activities as the beach afterwards. Many of them rather go to the AFTER party after the game is over...and I don't blame them for having that kind of mentality when you break these things down.

Its a completely different vibe down there...thats why when I heard the Marlins were investing so much in Miami I was like...:snoop:

The Dolphins do fairly well out there, but you expect many season ticket holds to baseball out there? For 81 games a year given the other opportunities you have? Plus the parties don't end till 5am? :heh:

The only reason I don't live in Miami is because to live in a really nice area you have to have deep pockets. I would move there in a second if I could buy a nice crib with views of the ocean...with multimillionaires as my neighbors.

The reason the Dolphins have a fan base is because there were still white people in Miami when that franchise was starting up which started the foundation for a tradition carry-over effect. Having one of the best QB's in the game for years didn't hurt build that tradition. Tradition goes a long way when establishing a fan base.
