The weather is nicer in Southern Cal and USC games are always packed.

:pachaha:

It's the culture. Miami is an immigrant city. I'm sure if you put Soccer or cricket in one of those stadiums it would be full. Shh Chess too. The immigrants in Miami are completely different than the ones in L.A.

There's not enough white people in Miami to have great crowds at sporting events.

Don't know how I missed this, but this is the only answer that makes sense. All the white people in Miami are Cuban or Columbian. The black people are from the Caribbean.

Depends on what part of Kissimmee you go to. A lot of that area was never supposed to be developed, so it looks out of place and has strange pockets of poverty. Before 2000 literally Orlando was UCF and Disney. We are talking on average of 400,000 people a decade since 1960. They added 600,000 since 2000. That's rapid growth for a city with little industry outside of service. :manny:

Come on dog stop it....most of the current Heat fans on this board AND on SOHH were not fans before Lebron got there.

Half these nikkas ain't even from Miami

most laker fans have never stepped foot in the state of cali:comeon:

you didn't notice a noticeable drop off in laker fans as the season went on? from the 73-9 prediction threads being made from august - october 2012 that had hundreds of lakers fans posting and repping and acting a goddamn fool...to the 15 or so lakers fans that were posting when they got swept in april?

so you mean to tell me you didn't notice any of that?:stopitslime:

yall nikkas stay on that hypocritical shyt when it comes to miami

You almost got it right. It's not that it's an immigrant area, but it's a transplant area. South Florida is filled with transplants from the Northeast. If any of the Miami teams play a northeast team (Boston, NY, Philly) the stadiums always gets packed.

Miami teams only sell out when they're doing well because it becomes an event and people wanna go there just to hang out. They're not real Miami fans though so they'll leave early even in close games.

I've been to Heat, Marlin and Dolphin games. Those fans are :heh:.

We used to go just to go see the women walk around:krs: and get digits:russ:

That's why I can't respect these new age Heat fans. They were all Cleveland or Philly fans before:scusthov:

pathetic

That shyt is nauseating.

This is just real shyt. I live in Miami and I HATE the Heat, the "fanbase" became a whole lot bigger one LeBron joined :mjpls:

You’ll never hear these clowns admit that though, man. Let them tell it, they been Heat fans since the days of Harold Miner. :childplease:

and its people like you that make me sick moving here and hating on everything if you love ur city so much go back :umad:

that's just a flat-out lie that your saying just to make you feel better that ur knicks suck "well least we're real fans" please there bandwagon fans for every good team but don't act like there weren't heat fans on SOHH for years

You hate those people cause they spit the truth

Wade won a chip and then the Heat fanbase dwindled to nothingness til Bron got there

All that other shyt you posting is irrelevant especially coming from a known NY hater such as yourself

:whoa: Dolphins got a loyal fanbase, I don't care what anyone says. We may not pack the stadium anymore (13+ years of mediocrity will do that to a team), but people still care about the Dolphins down here.

That being said, most of what you say is true. I do think that will change eventually, though. The Dolphins are really the only storied franchise in this city. The Heat got some nice history but still are only the 4th youngest team in the league. Combine that with the fact the team's enfranchisement happened at the same time as the Great Migration from NY and the northeast who for the most part stayed loyal to their teams, and you don't really have a potential fanbase to build on when you start out.

However, my generation (the 18-20something's), the born and raised in South Florida Floridians are mostly fans of the local sports teams, and are growing older so once we have careers that allow us to buy season tickets, playoff games, etc. and OUR kids being raised as fans of the local sports teams, Miami sports will have a more traditional fanbase.

:pacspit: @ the Marlins tho, they're doomed to failure.

eff the average ticket price. a decent ticket is like $500 each just to have a decent view. i used to sit 4th row behind the visitor bench before n after the ship wit shaq n it was like 150 -185 per ticket with parking and all the other fees. id much rather watch it on tv n get an hd view. the crowd is wack anyway no energy n the atmosphere is terrible plus if u dont have big money or good tickets to park in the garage at the arena u gotta park at the bs spots n worry bout ur stuff gettin broke into

Not many in Miami do that unless you live right on the beach. Going there every day or at least once a week gets old...quick.
