There’s no reason for any of this

The NBPA needs to address this shyt in the offseason and force the league to take a stand against SAS and all the talking heads who’re dragging the image of the league down at every turn.

NBA media suffers absolutely no repercussions for what they say/do and it’s rotting the perception of the product.

It needs to be the first thing on the agenda.

Stephen A. is an opportunist, he uses shyt like this for his own benefit. He's just like those sleezy senators, politicians, etc, who use sensitive issues to build themselves, not because they truly care about the problems. Ain't none of this shyt got anything to do with sports, and is a whole nother topic on its own, better suited for a media outlet, politician, etc, to cover, not some dayum debater on a sports show.

This is him being an opportunist capitalizing on the moment to build his faux political profile and attract a certain type of viewer to his social media platforms. The sad part is that SAS used to be a decent media personality in the sports world but then maybe with the last 2-3 years he's gotten worse, maybe it's the higher paychecks that's inflated his ego but the man is full of himself when he tries to talk about politics, social issues, crime, etc.

I understand Ja needing to defend his city and team, but I wish he didn't say anything simply because the man's an opportunist, he takes your words, responses, etc, and builds on it for his own benefit and that's why guys like KD, Bron, among others, don't bother engaging in conversation with SAS because they know what he is, like that face-to-face moment between him and Bron over Bronny, SAS tried to make it seem like Lebron was looking for a fist fight.

This is why SAS is still employed on these shows. He says exactly what people from upstairs want him to say. He's the ultimate sellout.

None of them NBA players in Memphis are living in bad conditions. They spend a lot of time in training facilities, etc. They are not spending their free time somewhere in the hood like they have to check in on some Stephen Jackson shyt :mjlol:

This is SAS getting a command from upstairs to talk shyt about a small market team to create more bad public image on their city.
This is effective. Melo said something similar about Chicago when he was courted to come here during his FA.

MFers really be thinking the entire city is that of trap and drill music crashout activity. They wouldn't be in any of that bullshyt unless they sought it out and wanted to be.

Did Ja say anything to the Morris Twin that actually said no one wanted to play in Memphis? Or is he picking on the low hanging fruit as Steven A

Ja didn't address anyone directly. He just talked about the media in general but SAS' diva bytch ass suddenly had to make it all about himself.

Nashville has a rich black history in that city tho, was just out there for a week in April.

I liked it

:ehh:
And just like plenty of cities in the South that have a remake, its distanced itself from Black folks and our importance in the building of that city. The Gulch and the Black Bottoms area ain't even a footnote in that city's history and that erasure was by design. You have to seek it out and where you find it is now in the outlying areas and nowhere near Broadway.
