Let's be real. shyts got nothing to do with murder/crime rates. nikkas just want something to do and Memphis doesn't offer you that type of lifestyle/entertainment. If crime was such a problem, the pro athletes in St. Louis, NOLA, Philly, & Baltimore should be echoing the same sentiments since there crime rates are on par or worse than Memphis. And in the entire time the Grizz have been in town, never heard about anyone fukkin with one of the athletes (miss me with the Ja shyt; that was over someone fukkin with his moms at the mall). I've been to 3 of the 4 cities I've mentioned (for extended periods of time) above and Memphis is EASILY the one where I'm not on guard the entire time. And I be everywhere there cause I have fam there (Westwood, S. Perkins, Hollywood, the Mound). And yea, it's true. You step a few yards in either direction of Beale and you in a hood or out in Cordova/Bartlett you can go from million dollar homes on one block to dilapidated homes on the next but I've seen that in STL, NOLA, Columbia, SC, and several other cities comparable in size. Just sounds like someone is doing someone else's bidding here

I've only been to Memphis once and I enjoyed my time there but it does feel like outside of Beale Street there isn't much.

I liked it tho and want to visit again. I went to Game 5 of Grizzlies-Warriors back in 2022 and it they had a thing called Memphis in May so there was a lot going on. There was a BBQ fest. I had an amazing time.

I think there's something dope in every city honestly.

I've never heard of anything happening to a NBA player there

Football players stay getting robbed in every city in Europe
I’m saying.
Like when have you heard players say “I wanna go to Utah cause it’s so safe there”, “I wanna go to Portland” etc.

Most young athletes might just prefer major markets or legendary teams.

How can anyone look at Jimmy Butler and say, well if there was no gang violence in Memphis he probably would have chosen Memphis over being the top 5 best paid man in basketball playing with fellow old heads in the SF.

That’s a weak ass excuse. If the WNBPA can publicly speak out against journalist and media talking flagrant about their league and players, then the NBPA can do the same as well.

They broke into Ja's house too

I'm wondering why SaS felt compelled to say Jimmy Butler name specifically

Those same CMG Choppa Gang goons and affiliates they have all up in the video at the grizzlies games probably ran up in his shyt :hubie:
