I've only been to Memphis once and I enjoyed my time there but it does feel like outside of Beale Street there isn't much.

I liked it tho and want to visit again. I went to Game 5 of Grizzlies-Warriors back in 2022 and it they had a thing called Memphis in May so there was a lot going on. There was a BBQ fest. I had an amazing time.

I think there's something dope in every city honestly.
I feel the same. But in this case, SAS goofy ass wanna impress me, discuss how Memphis got to the way it is today. While everything east of Jackson has had a boom and entire industries move in, Memphis has either remained stagnant or regressed. But he won't. Cause he don't know shyt, just parroting what he's been told to say.

I mean SAS ain't wrong but he could have said it a little bit better. The way he's saying it sounds like some right wing cracker Fox News agenda to me. He's got to be very careful especially since he's out there making a living from a majority black league.

Memphis is in Shelby County.

What area are you talking about specifically? Collierville?

But back to the topic, Memphis overall is just such a trash city not only for young adults, but for families. Ain’t shyt there for you to do! If I was the family of an NBA player in Memphis I couldn’t wait until they were traded.

There are no entertainment options outside of going to the movies. There are no amusement parks, no water parks, no science centers, nothing. Even the bowling alleys are dangerous. They got one raggedy ass mini golf location in a dilapidated building right off the expressway and a Main Event where people stay fighting and shooting.

Wait, they somehow do have a fire ass zoo though.

Haha the zoo is nice. My ex is from Mississippi so we would fly into Memphis and drive down. Took the the kids to the zoo a few times out there.

Memphis just kinda of reminds me of the industrial side of town of a major city except it’s the whole city.

That is a great analogy.

For all you coming in here to defend Memphis ask yourselves this. What type of culture must exist in a city for Black men who are LAW ENFORCEMENT to have such hostility and ignorance in their heart to beat another Black man to death in the middle of the street?

No. Black officers who mimic the actions of Klan members circa 1954 is not "law enforcement anywhere"...And you completely missed the point.

Yes. How many times have black police officers been portrayed to be just as bad or worse than their white counterparts in LA? You have clearly missed out on essential lessons in black culture. :comeon:
You're talking about corruption. Yeah Los Angeles had corruption Black police and so do other places

That beating of Tyre Nichols wasn't corruption though, they did that just for the love of the game.

What type of city breeds a culture like that other then one of pure unadulterated ignorance
