Stephen A Smith suggest that NBA rating are down because players don't hate each other. Is there any truth to that?

This might only be me, but some of these guys straight up don’t seem to respect the League and if they don’t care why should I? Guys like Ja and Zion, even Joker who treats it like some part time gig slash chore. There’s no player in soccer I know that says, it’s easier to score in a league he is currently playing in than the any other, yet Freak and Luka said it so casually.
joker and Dončić don’t think the NBA is real basketball. It is a gig to them. they are infinitely more happier and satisfied playing for their national teams.

Zion clearly doesn’t give a fukk and only plays basketball because he’s good at it.

Ja Morant actually seems to play really well when he’s playing , but you know he’s an idiot with off the court issues and probably thinks he’s a YN who just happens to be good at basketball.

Ratings are down because the product is bad and the announcers and commentators, including Stephen Smith are worse. Just a shyt product and presentation all the way around.

Very simplistic take as there are more reasons to the NBA's ratings decline. But there is validity in saying the players do not appear to see each other as rivals. They do not see basketball as a calling but as a job.
