Pat McAfee coming in has SAS scared even if he won’t admit it. Have his show coming in pulling numbers and watch how quick ESPN switches them in the lineup. That’s likely the long term plan anyways.

SAS knows it too which is why he’s trying to get ahead of the game by pivoting content and creating escape plan which he should have done long ago.

He got too complacent instead of doing what others before him had previously.

Well all I know is I went from watching ESPN from sun up to sun down at one pont. From like 10 yrs old to my early 30 the main two channels I watched were ESPN and BET. I haven’t watched BET in yrs now, I only really watch ESPN for live game broadcasts. They run the same shows all day and there's nothing different about them other than the hosts. And every show has the same Topics starting with LeBron or the Cowboys. I'm s born and bred Cowboys fan but even I get tired of them covering them everyday. But I have no problem with SAS other than his podcast because he sniffs too much

Stephen A loves jumping up & down about a show on a network he doesn’t own. I get being proud of your job but there are people on that network who get paid in his ballpark and do wayyyyyy less who have no opinions to give on defending the network they work for
To be fair, the majority of them don’t get the leeway or platform that SAS does to make those type of opinion known.

For the most party, they mainly just stick to “sports”.

If you’re Greeny, doing ONE show consistently and sportscenter every other leap year, while getting paid like sas do you give a fukk?

He’s tried and failed before, but McAfee coming in has seemed to have lit a fire under him as he’s never made as many podcast appearances as he has now and changed up the format of his show.

He’s also out here endorsing for politicians that are willing to take his call :mjlol:

Greeny does more than that as he’s back on radio now although I’m sure he didn’t do it for free. He also does Countdown as all.

Plus he has something that SAS doesn’t have in being a legacy employee there with Mike & Mike. Even then, SAS makes a few million more than him and is getting the perks to talk about non sports issues and appearances that he doesn’t get.

The funny part about it though is that years ago Greeny was the one that was supposed to moving to greener pastures, yet all of his outside endeavors failed.

You joking, but I'm dead serious.

I'm not reading all that :mjlol:

Stephen A basically told Lebatard and Jemele ya'll wasnt complaining about ESPN when ya'll had a job with ESPN while they were laying off hundreds.....why ya'll butthurt now? Said Lebatard cant be throwing stones in a glass house bc he had a debate show too....Jemele said ESPN wanted black faces but not black voices..Stephen A took offense to that and listed all the black folk contributing to ESPN and how he's a real journalist.

Then Stephen A does a WWE promo at the end saying he's more fired up then ever and ESPN cant be stopped

I haven't watched First Take since Max left.

What's the point of even watching First Take? When the other person is debating...SAS is just gonna be on his laptop or phone and not paying attention so why should the viewer?

Damn you must have not really watched since then, SAS isn’t like that at all.

He honestly didn’t like working with Max.

But his basketball talk with JJ Reddikk, Jwill, Mad Dog and company is actually entertaining— Perkins is whatever

But they actually have in-depth talks now since they actually have former players in the debating rotation instead of just trying to give hot takes

Greeny doesn’t do half as much as SAS does so the money stands out. Greeny failing outside of ESPN means nothing because we’re talking about their level of contribution versus pay from their employer. I didn’t realize talking about other stuff was a sought after perk like that but that isn’t an incen

I’m sorry was Mike & Mike on during some point of the 90s I’m forgetting? They were there during the same era.

Greeny isn’t Stuart Scott, Dan Patrick or Olberman lol
