Why on Earth would you leave ANY job before you have another set up? Why would he leave his 12 million a year job, that also allows him to produce shows on their network, and gives him more exposure when launching other platforms... When the other shyt ain't set up yet? ESPN don't need to wait on anybody. They can let you go when they want... As you just saw

Because he's made it clear with his actions and comments that he has higher aspirations outside of ESPN and sports and other posters would tell you the same thing. Even he would tell you the same thing.

SAS has been at this shyt for years now, yet the opportunity still has risen for him to leave the network and that's not even factoring how his outside projects (his Disney+ show and podcast before the format change) flopped badly.

As much of a star as he thinks he is, he should have left ESPN long ago for greener pastures and the fact that he’s still there speaks volume.

You do know he has his own production company and produces content that he's not in front of the camera for, and has so for years right? What exactly would be the greener pasture beyond making 8 figures? Why not use them to catapult your other ventures? And when they start paying 8 figures, then quit the other one

He wants the notoriety of being known outside of sports as more than just a talking head. That's essentially what it comes down to.
