Not 1 muthafukka in the sports world stood up for him that I know of. Larry Fitzgerald Sr. was the only one I can think of and he's not in the media.

He had a right to say that and he exercised it. Freedom of speech is merely the right to say something. It doesn't grant you immunity and it doesn't protect or shield you from the freedom of speech that other people have in response.

I'm convinced more people in here are siding w/ the idea that nobody should be hitting anybody. Sure men should never hit women over words or even a slap or single punch. But when you physically assault someone you ARE provoking them, whether they respond physically or not is not the issue, the issue is that you ARE provoking someone to respond physically. And in that there's nothing wrong w/ what SAS said regarding the Ray Rice incident.

I havent seen anyone saying that. There is just something inherently wrong with reacting to an assault with ignorant commentary of what the VICTIM should have done differently. People continue to miss that.

There are a select few people that take the "never hit a woman, even if she's beating you to a bloody pulp" to an extreme but that viewpoint is not expressed by anyone reasonable and its not warranting building a strawman argument over. I also can't think of any situations where that is happening. If a girl was acting out and swinging all over a guy and he one punched her, the video would go viral and no one would feel bad for her. Are there some double standards out there when it comes to violence? Sure, but that's not the issue here.

I knew a guy whose girlfriend got crazy and would hit him and throw shyt at him. I never told him some stupid bullshyt that he shouldn't provoke her, what the fukk is that? I told him to leave that bytch.
